My son came home on leave from the Navy and we decided to paint our 3.4 DOHC powered 85 SE before the North West Fiero Fest in Richland Washington. He arrived on Wednesday moring and we picked up a LS4 (another project) and after unloading the LS4 in the garage, we took of int the 3.4 and went to the paint store. The Fiero Fest was the Following Saturday which basically gave us 7 days to do this.

The car before we started

Stripped

from the side

You can drive them without panels

A pile of parts

Sanded parts ready for primer

Primer under way

Our booth

ATOMIC ORANGE POW!!!!

Starting to come back together

Continuing to assemble

Waiting on belt molding clips from the Fiero Store

The other side

This is the car all done. The wheels on the car in the previous pictures were a friends. He lent them to my son for the Fiero Fest. The car was done on the Thursday before we left for the Fiero Fest.

You really need to know Fieroking. One of the most real folks that I have ever met. I truely feel blessed to call him and his beautiful wife my friends. When Joe says that he is going to do something, he gets it done!

Some pics of the car that we took...

We had the car stripped down in a day. My son did most of the panel removal while I was preping panels.

Removed the windshield to replace it (old and had several big rock chips) also allowed us to replace the surround piece.

I will let the Joes explain more about the yellow one, but what a great car. There are literally too many little mods to mention. It is equipped with a 4.9 and 5spd. You may never guess where the modified front end came from. You will be shocked.

The interior is work in progress. I have installed a Grand Am dash and will be working with a friend to build a custom dash. I am looking for some seats. The dar is powered by a 3.4 DOHC of of a 96 Grand Prix GTP.
