Hello everyone. I finally got my Z06 brakes finished and got some pics. However, in the last two test drives; a plastic stop has broken off of the pass. side window, the volts light is on and i'm not charging right, and the pass. side headlight motor has decided to stop working. Otherwise it runs and stops great. What do you think?

I know its not factory I was asking what it was from the factory ie an 85GT as it has the GT bumper but is a coupe or if he moded a coupe or what. Sorry if that seemed confusing
Did you make a build thread on your brakes? I sure there are a lot of folks that would be very interested in the details of what you did and how you did it. Perhaps you could PM me with the details. I would like to have C5/C4 brakes in my car which is in the process of getting an LSx engine installed. ~Bob

Thanks for all the compliments, I'm very happy with the car so far. But there are still things I'm working on. (vented hood and chin spoiler) The wheels are Exel Ennio 17x7 front and 18x8 rear. I can slid my hand between the rear tires and the coilovers but thats all.
I did start on thread on the brakes but its not very detailed. I called it the C5/C4 Hybrid brake swap. It uses C5 13" front and C4 12" rear. The reason for using C4 in the rear is because of the e-brake issue. If you had an automatic, you would be able to use C5 all around I'm sure. Here is the thread with closer pics.
As of right now, I'm not producing for sale anything in regards to my brake swap. I might start producing the caliper covers but the caliper adapters I'm not even thinking about until I get some more real world testing to make sure there are no problems. But even then, I doubt I would make them. Basically, there is a lot of maching that needs to be done to the car and that machining determines the front adapter brackets thickness. The machining needs to be done on the front knuckles to create a mounting surface that was once just rough cast. Since all castings are different, I believe all the brackets would have to be custom matched to the newly machined knuckle. This makes mass production all but impossible. I would be happy to answer any questions and try to help anyone ambitious enough to do this but I really can't do much more than that. I'll post some more pictures here.

I like the Exel Ennios , they really set off your car brakes ..I am just concerned about buying them from wheelmax ( heard a bunch of horror stories in dealing with them) which seems to be the only place to get them. Also I don't think I can get them in the proper offset for an 88

people seriously... its the internet please get a life if you cant stand it.
I've had the honor of meeting Tim, and the true PLEASURE of getting a ride in his car last September at FIERORAMA. I've owned, built, and ridden in some fast cars and I can attest to his H.P. claim. This guy is a very talented and knowledgeable enthusiast. The photo's don't do this car justice. Awsome ride Tim!

You are manufacturing a ton of envy out here. There is unanimous agreement that your car is spectacular! How about producing more green envy with pic's of the inside? Thanks Tim

I love the Grand Sport driver fender stripes. Nice touch. When I owned my '87 Fiero coupe, I always wanted to paint it exactly like the Grand Sport, white stripes and all.

Wow, this thread really went crazy. Thanks everyone for the replies and just for taking a look. The car has come a long way but I've still got things to do but this really makes me feel good. I'll try to answer some of the questions or reply to the comments
As for the motor, it was a ZZ3 crate motor rated at 345hp and 400lb ft. from the crate. I have since gasket matched the heads and intake and given the L98 heads a nice street port with the help of a flowbench at WyoTech where I went to school. It also has an electric waterpump and the ram horn manifolds are heavily ported. I also upgraded to a Holley 750 vac. sec. / elec. choke carb. I know, I know you say that is WAY too big for a 350 and I would agree but I have had a 600 edelbrock, a 650 Demon and a this Holley on the motor and the Holley is much stronger. I just jetted my primaries down this weekend but it still needs a little tuning before I put it on the dyno this spring. So, I estimate 375 hp and 400+lb ft. I think that is a solid estimate, flame me if you like. The one thing I regret not doing to the motor is putting on a set of 1.5/1.6 roller rockers before I installed it. I have seen many dyno results showing roller rockers on a stock ZZ4 (basically the same motor) gaining 20+ hp with no other changes. Oh well, next winter I would like to pull the motor and do more work. (heads, cam, rockers, and intake). Even if its only 350 horse and i'm losing 15% through the driveline it should be very close to 300 at the wheels.
As far as the dyno, "I don't believe the HP numbers" issue we always face. What would you like me to do? I haven't put it on the dyno yet, the only thing I can do is estimate. Or should I just ignore any questions regarding the power of the motor?
On the GS stripes, My dad has a '64 Vette and is a big GS fanatic. I did them as an experiment once and fell in love. When the time comes to get the car painted they will become permanent.
The interior, pretty much stock. I've got a center console sub box I've been working on forever and now I'm debating whether I really want to use it and add the extra weight to the car with the sub and amp package. I'll post a pic anyways. The only real mods are the CF dash, custom lighted stereo surround, Sun Pro Tach, and short shifter. The stock seats are in perfect shape and I like them enough to keep them.
Interior-
My dad's vette, GS fanatic?
Not mine, but who doesn't love this?

Why is it so difficult for people on this board to just say "I haven't dyno'd it yet?" Why do people feel the need to estimate? It sounds as though you're going to dyno it at some point, so why make guesses now? Why not just wait and say for sure? It's not news that people will call out power estimates on this board. You should know as well or better than anyone here that crate motors are rated with no accessories and nice headers in fairly optimal conditions. Your motor is not in the same condition as it was when it was rated. It's got some good mods like the head porting and some bad ones like the rams horn manifolds. It may be better or worse than rated, but really, there's no way to know without actually testing it, so why make guesses?
This isn't a rip on you or your car, just an observation. Your car looks good and your engine swap is very clean. You obviously know what you're doing and took the time to do it right. My only qualm is with the pervasive trend on this board of people pulling power numbers out of thin air, based entirely on guesswork and weak estimations.

Why is it so hard for some people to accept estimates as that...they are estimates not dyno verified claims. You must start some where and the rated horsepower/torque numbers is a valid place to start. He did say he did not dyno it yet so that should suffice all the haters until he posts verified numbers then you can jump up and down screaming for dyno charts....
I also forgot to mention that I'm using a super thin set of head gaskets to get a little more compression. They are used on the ZZ383 425hp crate motor and have a compressed thickness of .028.
