Is there anyway to implement HID bulbs with the Tom's headlight kit? I have always had that wonder in my mind but I didn't know if anyone has ever even tried HID's in a Fiero before. I would love to have HID bulbs in my flush kit which would make it much more brighter and newer. Let me know guys if it could work with Tom's kit.
Later.

And plenty more... and it looks like prices have been coming down from what it used to cost for a HID conversion ($700/side down to around $400/side as far as I can tell).
$400 really isn't that bad. I was just wanting to get the 2 outside bulbs for the kit. I dont need to get 4 bulbs for the conversion. i figured I would just use the 2 regular outside bulbs as HIDs as I really never ever use the brights in the inside of the headlights anyways. I might get some in a month or so and let you know how I like it.
BTW, is there one kit better than the other Minn or is it just company preference.

OR about 150, maybe less, from me for Bi-Xenon [which means the shutter that stops the light from coming out the top moves for REALLY bright lights], with projectors, ignitors, and wiring. Straight from a BMW or Benz.

Could you elaborate alittle more on this. I have the H4 conversion and would like to do the HID install. Is that $150 per side or for both?

The 150 is for both sides. BUT they are NOT ready to install. Maybe in the near future I will work on something like that, a "Plug-N-Play" type of deal, but right now, I have been very busy doing too many things at once. I will see if I can get a pic of all the stuff that comes with it. Here is the list of all the stuff you would get:
Bulbs: 2 Projectors: [Bi-Xenon, or Regular] 2 Ignitors: 2 All necessary wiring.

Would this be for the Tom's kit as far as using the H3 bulbs? Let me know that would be sweet. Let me know man.

I haven't read anything that distinguishes one brand from another... might have to do some snooping around on an import forum for more details like that
Eric- I'm definitely interested in what style bulb fitting you can get those in... AFAIK all the pop-up conversions I've seen use 2- H4 style bulbs, whereas the recessed lights (like mine) use 4- H3 bulbs. Keep us posted!

Well if Rob is doing it then put me down for the same! (unless it cost way too much)

I plan on getting the kit but just for the regular lights. I dont need all 4 bulbs to be HID's because I rarely ever have all 4 running anyways. I think just having the outer 2 bulbs HID would help out immensly with lighting. I can always use the 130watt H3s with the HID lights but I dont think I would even need that.

Hey MinnGrenn, on the HID conversion, I was curious or wondered if I could just install the 2 bulbs, instead of doing all 4 for the conversion on my lights. I dont need to have all 4 be the HID's, I figured I could still use the stock 130watt H3 bulbs like as brights and just use the HID's on the outer edges all the time. Would that work or do I have to get the complete kit for 4 bulbs to work correctly? Let me know as I can probably call the company's and ask them, but thought I would ask you since I can't contact them over the weekend. Later man.

Amir- yeah, I think your idea would work just fine (although your "high beam" 130w bulbs would seem pretty wimpy next to the HIDs ). Basically you'd need to purchase one conversion "set" (two ballasts, two bulbs, etc) - and just install them in the outside/lowbeam locations. I couldn't forsee any problems with doing it that way. Go for it

Hey I just thought of something. While I am upgrading the headlights to HID's, why not make the driving lights I have HID's too. Hell Ill make it a HID front end, get ready cause I will be able to see from here to Canada! I can't wait!

What does the rolled eyes mean? You dont like my idea? I think it should be cool I dunno too many people trying out HID's on the kit and I think the kit lacks something anyways for lighting cause the 130s sure dont seem as bright as they should be.

Has anyone thought of doing a round HID light kit? I think something like the flush mounts on the late model 3000GTs would look awesome! Like 2 lights per side, highs and lows, and off set with the flush clear plexiglass cover over them? I'm looking in the direction of Tom, Songman, and Norm since they all have these sorts of things. Songman has the cool Lambo style pop ups with the round HIDs, Tom has a flush mount kit already, and Norm does some awesome stuff with fiberglass. What do you guys think?
