Stripped out one of the decklid to hinge bolt threads (the ones that are buried in the decklid). Now what? Can I successfully heli-coil it? What's the thread size? Do I have to get another decklid?

You can make a cut in the lid on the side facing the window and remove the steel plate. The steel piece is a bent piece of steel at a 90 degree bend. It is held in place with a few rivets that can be drilled out. Drill out the rivets and cut the hole and it slides out. Drill out the old holes. Weld nuts on to it and reinstall it, Rivet it back in and patch the hole. The hole is basically not seen.
