Okay, so it has only been 5 years since I started my L67 journey.

We are SOOO close now.

I have been searching build threads for hours and can't find this info, so hopefully someone can answer here and save me and future 3800 swap victims some grief.

I need to know what part numbers you guys have used for coolant hoses. I'm running from the stock L67 thermostat housing to the driver's side coolant tube but I figure that it's probably the same hose as the one that is used with the modified housing that uses the Fiero filler.

We were able to get lucky with a hose that we found in the shop. It fits the passenger side fine. But I have no idea where it came from.

And what the heck are you guys using to connect the intake tube running to the air filter up to the throttle body.

We measured the MAF at 4" in diameter. The tube running to the cone filter (was connected to the 2.8) is 3" in diameter.
So I ran to Home Depot and bought a 3" to 4" adapter in the plumbing section. Well, I guess that it's supposed to connect two plastic pipes with INTERNAL diameters of 3" and 4" as the openings were actually 1/2" larger than the "3 to 4" label.

I'm thinking of getting a smaller adapter but I'm pretty sure that having actual openings at 2.5" and 3.5" on the adapter is going to be too snug.

ANY SUGGESTION???

What throttle body? What intake tube diameter?

The stock throttle body is 3.5inches, I can usually cram a homedepot coupler over this, and then run that to some 3inch ID PVC pipe. I get the 45 degree bends with 1 female and one male end, which makes assembling a little intake easy.

Thanks.

It's the stock throttle body from the 97 Riviera.
The cold air induction tube is really thin metal, 3" in diameter.
Maybe I'll just get the 3" rubber coupler and build up the CAI tube with some scrap rubber material and glue.

The 3-3 coupler should work fairly well for you. It will crush down enough to at least grab the filter tube.

The rubber 3-3 Home Depot coupler ended up working great. The throttle body side fit really snug but wasn't TOO hard to get on. The CAI side tightened down nicely as well.

For the hoses...
Driver's side:
Application to look for is 97 Chevy C1500 with a 4.3 V6. It will be listed as the upper-hose.

It fit perfectly with no trimming at all!!! WOOT!!!
The Autozone/Advance PN is E72087 for a Dayco brand.
But neither had it in stock.
I was able to find it at Carquest.
My memory says that it was PN 22228. But my memory is not a reliable source.
Just ask for the truck's hose.
Credit goes to Toadson for that info.

Passenger side:
Autozone PN E71126 for a Dayco brand.
I got this from a thread courtesy of Fierohoho.
I don't know the application it came from.

Thank you's and +'es to DarkToadHoho
