Ok I have been thinking about doing a t-top in my 87 and have a couple of question. I am by no means an amateur im a professional mechanic so I know my way around cars how much time am i looking at, what tools and supplies do i need, also I know that the H frame for the tops is only pop-riveted in place Should I look into making some reinforcement on the underside? Also any other info to help with my install would be great. (not to rain on anyone’s parade but if you haven’t done the swap don’t post. I don’t want peoples opinion on the subject on the good or the bad or any i think this, I want facts from people who have actually done it.) thanks.

Use SEARCH and you'll find at least 2 build threads, 1 by Jon Scott and another by Mister

You can do it in a weekend with basic hand tools.

Good luck

As mentioned above by my experienced colleague, it can be done...Measure 5 times --> cut once

Good luck

No Problem... The only trick I remember is that the manual is very confusing where it describes the cut on the rear B pillars. I just kept making small cuts until everything fit. I think there might even be a mistake in the manual the way it tries to describe the cut, because it didn't make sense to me.
