What do the congressional and senate races look like in your neighborhood? (Page 1/2)

Arizona is facing a potentially disastrous Senate race between a clear conservative and a radical leftist in (recently donned) centrist clothing.

Kyrsten Sinema has a long and prominent history of far left activism. She began her political career as a Green Party candidate but switched to Democrat when it was obvious that she needed an air of legitimacy. She is now trying to appeal to Arizona’s conservative base by parading her military veteran, police officer brother around as a prop in her advertisements. There is some very evil money supporting her efforts.

On the other hand, Martha McSally was the first female to fly a fighter in combat and has been a steadfast supporter of conservative values all along. Soros money is flooding us with blatantly false attack ads against her

For anyone who is interested, they will be debating in a few hours, at 6:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. The debate will be live streamed here: https://azpbs.org/2018/10/a...ema-monday-at-6-p-m/

Sinema was leading in the polls until the Kavanaugh debacle. But in the last few weeks, McSally has gained quickly and is now very slightly ahead.

Kentucky is under attack by some very liberal money.

Lt. Col. Amy McGrath, retired Marne fighter pilot is running on the Dem ticket. Ironically, she moved here from MA so she could run for Rep. Andy Barr's seat in the House. Huge dollars are being spent in this campaign by both sides but McGrath is running about twice the ads. She is on record stating that this is not about KY and is also on record as being farther "Left" , more Progressive than anyone in KY.

I don't know where all her money is coming from but I have my suspicions. It is not unusual for the House to flip in mid year elections from the party who is in the White House so that won't surprise me but it pisses me off that "they" brought in an outsider and fund her campaign.

after a shooting, the problem is the gun....

Arizona's Congressional delegation is 5/4 for Republicans and that seems to me to be fairly safe, though some are saying that one seat could flip to the dark side. It looks just as likely to me that one more could flip in favor of the good guys.

We will have to have another special election when Jon Kyl decides he's had enough. Soon, Arizona will have two freshman senators.

Oregon has both Democrat senators and 4 out of 5 representatives. The lone republican is from eastern Oregon which is very rural.
I don't see anything changing here.

Senator Bill Nelson (D) sent out a press release asking people to donate to Hurricane Michael Relief in the Florida Panhandle.

The website he gave out in his press release goes to a notorious leftist fund raising site called "ActBlue"

Very slimy, scumbag move on his part.

Nelson is being challenged by Florida Governor Rick Scott for his Senate seat.

Bill Nelson is a long term elected member of congress and demonstrates the need for term limits. Scott was term limited as governor 2x and your out. It will be an interesting race as Bill Nelson has used his astronaut resume to get the position originally. Time for a change.

The Florida governor's race will be interesting Andrew Gollum, the democrat Tallahassee mayor (sans Ray Nagin) , vs Ron Desantis a DC congressional swamp dweller.

I'm hoping the GOP candidate, John James, defeats incumbent Brenda Stabenow.

That would be great to see this man as our senator.

Being in Rural Missouri it doesn't matter how I vote for any of the "major" stuff.

The major things are decided by Kansas City (Liberal) and Saint Louis (Liberal).

We get a say in our local representatives, but the Governor, and Senator are chosen by the Libs.

It's been like this since the Civil War, and I doubt it'll change anytime soon. I'd love to have a statewide Electoral system, but we'd have to gain power first, and that's not happening... Heck, the right has been losing ground in Missouri for generations.
