Man Says He's a Woman to Save on Insurance (Page 1/2)

Wow, what a dearth of discussion on here right now. So I just thought that I would add in another news headline.

A man is upset that he is being charge over a $1,000.00 more a year for car insurance than he would be if he was a woman. So he went to his doctor and asked the doctor to fill out a form that says he now thinks he is a woman. So under the laws of Canada he is being declared a woman and will now save over $1,000.00 a year on his car insurance.

Torn by his wit and the law that allows such foolishness.

OH what a tangled web they weave.

p.s.
So does that go to show insurance was ripping off guys to begin with?

If the guy was a sissy, lacking the average male aggressiveness, then yes. The insurance companies just do not have time to properly filter personalities.
When his health insurance goes up, we can all laugh, oh nevermind, he is a Canuck. Time to make universal car insurance.
The driving style of my wife sucks but, I do not think she has had an accident that she is at fault, I have. I also drive many times the miles than she does. There is a 25 to 1 of the 2 of us being in a car and I need to drive. It would make sense that I have higher car insurance.

We’re not allowed to say anything along the lines that “women are bad drivers” (true or not, doesn’t matter) but they’re allowed to assume that all young men are, and to charge more for it?

Sexist and a double standard. Someone should sue.

Shouldn't be long before he/she is riding around in a Tesla.

It is a matter of statistics that they use to make actuary tables, the guys have mort accidents or more costly accidents. Just like they almost exclusively look at younger men of middle east decent at airports!

Wouldn't be great if more things were based on qualifications and performance?

We did that once. We were called"pilots" and had to prove we could handle the machine to get a licence to drive one.

That was a long time ago.

Now, its become "I want"...fruck. Yah know much hard work and studing manuals it takes to be just be able to fuel-up a hornet ? Let alone put my Piper 2snd in line

As for some gy out there somewhere.....

Thanks, man. The DeHaviland wasnt that big, really, and the dac-3 ? OK, not many men can lay across a wing in minus 40 celecus.

oooppsss-=-that was my bad.

Wait a minute. This guy might be on to something. If my wife and I start identifying as gender neutral ( binary, A gender or what have you ), does that mean our increased chances of getting prostate or breast cancer go away?..
