Looking for PONTIAC stickers to fix delamination (Page 1/1)

Looking to buy the PONTIAC stickers to refurbish rear tail lights on a GT. IIRC a member on here sells the PONTIAC stickers so you can paint over them as a delamination fix.

Bump, Anyone know who sells them? It is really hard to rebuild the letters with masking tape alone..

As I remember, Paul McKibben used to sell a kit through Fierosails but that was to ADD lettering to the notchback lights. To restore the lenses, you will have to mask off the lettering by hand, then paint over the masking.

I used 1/8" pinstripe tape, overlapped them, and cut the tape with an Exacto blade around the curves. You need the 1/8" tape in order to stretch around the curves like the back of the "C".

I’m worried the exacto blade will gouge the plastic too much. I ordered striping tape but were you able to cut through it without gouging the lenses?

When I did these I masked the letters, sprayed the black, removed the masking, and sprayed the lens with automotive urethane clearcoat. Any scratches were filled in by the clearcoat and became invisible. But to answer your question, yes, you can use an Exacto blade carefully to cut the tape.
