Body Fabricatition. A side scoop RRIM homade. (Page 1/6)

I just asked Cliff to put this in the Construction Zone. So it may move. FYI.

I made a side scoop today. I used 3M 04247 Duramix. The quarter panels are RRIM and the material used to fill in was RIM from an old bumper cover .

I did the pass. side first and forgot to get a pic of the layout. I will post he driver side when I do it.

I didn't use the mixer tip for every application. It saves material.

how do you plan on routing the air box on drivers side

I plan to do the driver side cut out the same shape. I'll have to do some filling in where the original scoop is. This is a L67 swap. I don't think I'll have to do any ducting from the scoop to the filter.

Autozone. Like around $30.00?
jaredmurray88 APR 02, 01:11 PM
is that where the duramix is from too? is that any better than the auto mix or same thing?

Just a comment about the drain pipe used for the intake. The corrugations cause a fair bit of static resistance in the airstream, coupled with the U-bend at the filter this will probably negate much of any benefit that you were hoping to see.

Just my $0.02
