I've driven several different cars in my life and I just wanted to share with you all the funnest and fastest cars I have driven. I'm only 18, so I havent driven many exotics like you all probably have but just to start things off, these are my top pics for what I have driven.

1. My dad's Buick T-Type. I just love it when the turbo kicks in and you just blast away. Also the sound of the turbo is the BEST sound in the world!

2. BMW 5 Series- My friends mom has one and my friend let me drive it around the block. These things are so smooth and when excelerating and just so "elegant" Just something about BMW's that I have always loved.

3. 2001 Celica GTS- My friend asked me what car he should buy and I recomended the new Celica. He actually ended up buying one and he said that I would be the only one that he would let drive it. So one day we were just driving and he said,"Do you wanna drive?" and of course he didnt have to ask twice. Its an auto with the manual shifters on the steering wheel similar to the F1 Ferraris. It was a blast to drive.

4. Cadilac Escalade-I just had to park this thing at my moms work one day and all I gotta to say about them is "POWER" When you step on it, these things really move. I ended up taking this around the block a few times and I just loved it. I think Cadilac claimed that it has the most HP of any SUV on the market. Im not sure if thats true or not, but I believe it.

5. My FIERO of course. I still think Fieros are the funnest cars to drive ever. Im sure most of you know why.

Well now lets hear what you have driven!

Fastest would be my dads 2000 saab aero. The thing is insane on the highway. 0-60 is a 6.5 and top speed is limited to 140 something. Freakey that they can get 230hp and 250 torque out of a 2.0 liter four banger turbo.

I drove a friends VW corrado. Five speed supercharge four. Very fast and handeled better then anything I've driven. You feel every bump in the road . I did a very nice drift around a corner in it; my friend almost *hit himself .

I drove a benz S 500 about a year ago. That was pretty neat. That car is a *tank*, but still hauls arse. People must have thought I was a pimp, seeing a young guy driving a 100+K car around .

Have driven a few other interesting cars. But those are the ones I remember.

Like the CAkid, I'm older and the list is long.

So I'll put the fastest car I ever got caught speeding in. It was a 77 Pont. TransAm. Got clocked at 142 in a 55. I was 20, just bought the car and wanted to see if I could peg the 130 speedo. I did. In retrospect it was a very stupid thing to do. Should have taken it to the track.

btw, the case got thrown out of court. He arrested me, which he could not do in Mo at the time for a driving violation. The cop also had a very bad rep.

WAY too many to list.

I've piloted cars capable of over 200 mph. Course, I've never had them over 100.

My brother's 68 Chevelle SS 396. Took it to school while he was sleeping after a big night of partying. This was about 1974. That thing did 11.4 @ 125 mph in the quarter mile.

"Must go faster!" - Jeff Goldblum, Independence Day
"Must go faster!" - Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic Park

Other fun vehicles on my list are:

77 I.H. Scout SSII - I put a suspension kit & offroad tires on it and rearched the springs for extra lift.

Homebuilt Sandbuggy, 1835 cc rebuilt - tripled the h.p., offroad cam

68 VW Baja Bug - I rebuilt this down to every nut & bolt, then used the buggy motor.

66 Mustang Coupe 289

I got to drive a Pantera once...I worked at a local gas station, and my boss was friends with the owner of the car. He needed a new tire, and my boss ordered one and mounted it for him. I got to return the car to his place of business...needless to say, I took the long way! Other cars...my 70 Boss 302, my 67 Shelby GT 350, and my old 65 Mustang hardtop with a 289 Hipo in it. None of them (save for the Pantera) were very exotic, but they were fast!

My dad's Prelude with twin turbo and NOS, he may be 47 yrs. old, but lord does the stupid thing have to go that dang fast.

The Funnest has to be the GT Fiero I just bought, feels like a little Ferrari going down the road, not to mention the working A/C and cruise control makes for a crisp, comfortable ride. I may be 6'3" 340 ,but, the thing fits me like a glove.

The one that comes to mind is a friend's Porsche 928, several years ago. It didn't have blinding speed (although was pretty quick) and didn't exactly ride on rails, but the "fun factor" was there.

Although my dad used to have a '69 Z28 when
I was in high school with 327/350HP in it that had some pretty big balls (and yes I got to drive it).

i guess i'm kinda cheating cause this isn't a car. I'm in the canadian air force, and i've flown an f-18 and have gone mach 1.5 that's about 1,000 +/- mp/h. Sorry, just had to mention it. Can't compete with all your hot rod cars.

Hmm where do I start. I used to work with sports and race cars.
Lamborghini Countach - By far the fastest and best handling
Lotus Europa
Lotus Elan
Porsche 911
Lamborghini Urracco
Ferrari 328
Ferrari 308
Ferrari Dino
Various other high performance road cars and lots of really high performance circuit racing cars.
Most of these was "test drives" when cars were in for repairs

if this is getting a little hard for a few of you. Then lets change it a little bit.

"Whats the nicest, fastest car you have ever gotten a ride in?"

Or if thats still too hard. Then "Whats the nicest, fastest car you have ever sat in?"

Or even less hard "Whats the nicest, fastest car you have ever SEEN?"

HAHAHA, now Im sure everyone can post on this.

The thing with flying in a jet like that is, you can only go supersonic at like 30,--- ft. And at that altitude you don't really have anything as a visual reference. So all you have is this small indicator that points to mach 1.5.

Interesting. You're from Britain, and only have 2 posts, but you know I'm a tuner? Sure... Sounds like another yo_sweet deal to me.

Anyway, to answer your question...none of them. The modified compacts I've driven I generally test to well over 100mph. When we do Civic engine swaps, I have an area I can safely test to about 140 mph in, and so we do. This is the final test I do before delivering a hybrid, usually to ensure stability and cooling system operation.

As for the other...

NSXs, Vettes, Lotus (Loti?)(Esprit S2, Esprit Turbo, Esprit V8, Elises, a 340R), Prosche 911, 928GTS, 944T, 914-6, Panteras, several older Ferraris (308, 328, 348, 512 TR), a few Lamborghinis (Islero, Countach, Jalpa), S2000, WRX, Viper, several "kits" including Cobras and GT40s, Lightning, Cobra-R, a couple Maseratis, Jaguars, 300ZXTT, Stealth R/T, Supras, and almost got to drive a McLaren F1 GTR!

In addition to "tuning", TRiAD also brokers exotic cars, and I often drive cars for clients either wanting to buy or to sell. Occasionally I just get to drive one in the middle of the deal, which is what nearly happened with the McLaren.

In August 2003 (if not before), I will likely get to drive a Vector W8TT. They're having a reunion at the Concourse Italiano, and I plan to be there.

i cant remember the exact year but the fastest car (or truck?) i have ever driven was a 70 or 71 ford ranchero with the 429 cobra jet. it belonged (still does) to the dealership i do some work for and the owner wanted it put into storage before winter comes, he let me take it down there. it needs some carb work so it doesnt run right. i was driving it down to the storage area going right twords a red light, i slowed down and when i was at about 20 mph the light turned green, i tried to accelerate but it tried to die. so i gave it more gas, then she picked up and broke the rear tires loose. the only thing i didnt like was there was a cop at the stop light on the right, he followed me for a few blocks but didnt pull me over, probably saw the dealer plate and figured it had problems. after i got to the storage place i made sure nobody was around then punched it from a dead stop, both rear tires started smoking, i let off when the back end tried to slide.

i never used to like fords but i now have respect for the old big blocks

Funnest = Fiero
Fastest = my 3.4 Formula

Honorable mention: 300ZX. It wasn't turbo, but it was still fast, comfortable, good looking and Fiero-like (GT).

WOW! BMW M5! Those are my favorite sedans. I plan on buying one as my family car when I have kids.

And I know whats his name came close driving a Mclaren. But who hear has actually driven and/or even seen one of those. Those have gotta be my all time favorite cars, next to the Viper and Cobra.

Fastest I've ever driven: my '72 Trans Am.
(yup, even faster than my 87 Grand National).

Most fun? Hard to say. Either the T/A or my Fiero. I loved racing people in the T/A, because most people just thought is was "some old white trash TA" and didn't realize it had a 455HO under the hood. Even though it said so on the shaker. One of the most fun races was when a friend of mine tried to race my TA in his 83 Monte Carlo SS. He's modded it some, but it didn't matter. I stayed with him till about 35 mph under about 1/3 throttle, then I downshifted into 1st and layed rubber away from him. Left him like the Millenniuum Falcon going into Hyperspace! THAT was fun. But the Fiero is just a blast to drive - regardless of who's around. I'd have to make that a tie between those two.

They're having a reunion at the Concourse Italiano, and I plan to be there.

hahhaahhahahahahaahah
Tuner!!! Rice a roni wings and photoshop doesn't make you a tuner. Names like Mallet , Lingenfelter , Callaway , Hennesey , roush, saleen, yenko, Berger chev , Baldwin Motion, These are tuners.

hahahhahahahaha
Broker!

Do you have a complimentary service where you take the persons car up to the top of 3rd gear to see how fast it goes?

Ohh man your a riot! Where's your store front? where's your business? your computer? You have a brokers license? cert by NADA? Selling your uncle larry's chevette does not make you a broker!

this was the best thing I have heard all day!

I think the fastest i've ever driven was my dad's '56 chevy 210 wagon with a 350 pushing well over 400hp. The thing handled like crap but had balls the size of watermelons!!! best handling car i've driven is my stock '86 Fiero GT. Funnest car i've ever driven is still my bright yellow '66 Nova with a 250 L6 and 3-speed. It's got split headers and dual turbo mufflers, custom interior, but not the fastest thing (although I've blown by plenty of hondas in my day), but the looks i get from other people on the road is more on the side of "OH MY GOD THAT CAR IS BLINDING ME!!!"
