I thought this might be a fun diversion. The way this works is, someone posts a song and the next person will post another song that has some relation to the previous post. It could be one of the performers, the songwriter, whatever; just explain why they are related.

Who knows, we might just learn something.

In another thread, I posted a video that included Emmylou Harris and Iris DeMent, so here is Iris DeMent and John Prine

now as an example, here is Bonnie Raitt performing a song written by John Prine

What's the next step?

Before going on to help form "Foreigner", Ian McDonald was one of the founding members of the seminal progressive rock group, "King Crimson" where he wrote the title song for their first album, "In the Court of the Crimson King"

King Crimson's second album 'In the Wake of Poseidon' was based on Gustav Holst's seven-movement orchestral suite 'The Planets'.

Very good! We have country, classical, motown, rock, blues; I'll bet we could go anywhere with this.
It only took four steps to go from Willie Nelson to Gustav Holst.

"War" was written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong who also wrote "Heard it Through the Grapevine"

Well, REO Speedwagon was named after a truck, so here is the Tedeschi Trucks Band with an added bonus of Grace Potter. And to tie it back to the top, they are singing a John Prine song.

There's a lot to work with there.

Perfect, we saw Warren Haynes and Grace Potter each with Derek Trucks in separate videos above.

Edit - I wanna have Graces Potter's babies.

She is incredibly sexy! And she can really sing! and play the B3, and the guitar and probably a few other things.

Okay... since the thread seems to be taking a breather, I'm gonna go for a "two-fer".
This was the first Grace Potter track I ever heard. (Someone - williegoat? - posted it here. I offer my undying thanks for turning me on to her.)

You can never have too much Grace Potter!

for the uninitiated, or if you just want to hear some real rock and roll, skip to 3:00 (and turn it up)
