I used to watch Al Jazeera at the house a lot. As a result I had them on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Then, as soon as Al Jazeera got a TV station in the US they shut off the internet feed, so no more feed for my home TV.

Their twitter feed wasn't horrible, but they would "blow up" my wall with 50 or so posts at once. I removed that the other day.

Today I removed them from my Facebook feed. Every time there was a post the comments section was full of "death to ______, praise Allah." comments. Apparently it's been taken over by "we're not terrorists" extremists. I don't need the drama.

So here's what I see. Al Jazeera was doing a good job of being fair, to a point. Then they were able to break into the US market, they dropped the "balanced" act and just went back to whatever wing Muslim is. And, since I'm sure I'll hear "but that's the comments, not the news." The page has the power to block posts, remove posts etc. They don't, so they don't care.
