In case there are still any Northstar swap enthusiasts in the community, my mother's 2003 deville was rear ended totalling the car. The car is fine, and working, and drivable, it's just the repaired bill is multiples of the cars worth.

If anyone is interested in purchasing it before I sell it elsewhere, junk it, etc...let me know...

The early Northstar engines 1993 to 1999 suffered from head gasket failure as the head bolts GM used were undersized. GM made a fix in 2000 and the 2003 engine should be safe to swap.
