To ME, it is better to have an operating EGR system, than 'tricking' the ECM into thinking that the valve is
really not here.
A working EGR system creates
no performance loss & reduces fuel consumption."Fooling" the ECM when the EGR isn't here, it can cause the engine to run 'rich' at times.
Did you get the chip re-programmed to delete the EGR function?Perhaps, this may be the problem....
