Hey guys, I am working on an 85 gt with a 99 gtp engine. I did not do the swap, but the cradle needs to come out. I was going to feed the components in the passenger compartment through the fire wall, but I think some how the previous owner flipped the harness retaining clips when they did the swap. Is my only option to pull apart the connector to feed the harness through? This is my frist time dropping the cradle, so I wasn't sure what the best course of action is.

As long as the harness fabricator did not fill the cavity with sealant that sets hard, that 2 piece connector should easily pull apart from the harness without disturbing anything. Then you can reverse it and apply a non setting sealer to weatherproof it.

Yup, that worked. I didn't know if I could just pull it apart. Thank you!
