Shopping for a block off kit for the 2.8 I found this kit for an LT1 Camaro/Firebird. Looks exactly like the one BTR sells, except it's cheaper and made from Billet aluminum! Would it fit the fiero?

Took me all of 30 minutes to cut up some aluminum plate to act as a block off until my new tube shows up from Rodney. Not really sure why billet aluminum is needed on a 2.8 considering most of it is hidden, but not my motor or money, so there's that, lol.

As for whether the LT1 stuff will fit, maybe. But you'll need two of the 2 hole small oval plates on the 2.8. The one hole plate for the LT1 will be useless on the 2.8. Well, I suppose it MIGHT be long enough to cover the port, assuming you get it lined up properly, and that's also assuming the 2 hole plate even has the proper hole spacing. I don't think it does though.

I have a LT1 sitting in the garage, and another in my '62..I can compare if it's really needed.
