Oh wow.. I feel stupid haha. I just went out and looked and I see that the injectors are not plugged into the aluminum piece. They hook into the piece that sits below that. 😂😂😂
I don't know why but my images won't upload through the PIP program. I've made some progress. I got the car pretty much back together. I installed new plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, coolant temp sensor, thermostat, new gaskets for alot of crap, and cleaned up and repainted my valve covers and upper intake manifold. Overall, the car is looking good again and will be running (hopefully) tomorrow. Just waiting to spray another few coats on the top side of my manifold tomorrow. Thought I'd throw up some progress photos. As before, just right click and open in another browser.
Well, all is good except for one thing. That's the fuel line that supplies the fuel for the fuel rail. It doesn't leak when I put pressure down on it, but does as soon as I let up. The nut around it is pretty much as tight as I can get it. I already tried to straighten the line out and that helped but just seems like I should somehow be applying more pressure to the line. any thoughts? This one's truly got me stumped. The line looks like this:

It looked fine, although it didn't come out when I pulled out the line. But it could be just a tight fit. And after looking at a few diagrams, it is intact the line for the cold start. I'm to the point where I'm about to put gasket sealer around the line and call it good because I really don't want to pay 9 bucks for a kit that I only need that tiny gasket out of. This line is the only thing stopping me from having everything together.

Do NOT mess around with short-cuts here... unless you want the whole car to go up in flames. I'm am not kidding around. You do not want a gas leak.
Well, I was looking around and found a kit with a bunch of o rings. I grabbed some that were similar in size and put them in. I put 2 under the wide part of the fuel line and put 3 on top of it to stop it from moving when I tightened the nut down. It doesn't move at all and doesn't leak. I left the key on for a good 10 minutes and just watched. No leaks or anything when pressurized. I put everything together and there was a few leaks. Thank god the gasket set from the fierostore came with rtv. I'm almost positive I got the leaks but haven't smoke checked it. I haven't driven it yet but will later today or tomorrow. But for now, I'm calling it a success.
