I wanted to know if it was possible to swap the front end body panels of an 85 SE Notchback and put them on an 87 GT?
I have an 85 SE, just bought an 87 GT with front end damage. Interior is mint and the car was very well maintained, and I've always just liked the older front end. Is it possible to just swap those front ends? so I can have an 87 GT with an 85 SE front...

Thanks all.

You can swap any panels on a any Fiero to any other Fiero... just make sure you have all the underpinnings... there are differences in the support structures under the panels as well.

Something you will need to keep in mind is that the 85 bumper pad nose will have ribbed side molding and the 87 GT had smooth side molding. Also, the GT side skirts will make the nose look very high and kind of unbalanced when viewed from the side.

Just sand out the ribs. I think the combo looks agressive myself. The purple car was my 383 v8, named Raptor.

I dont like the 'snowplow' GT nose at all, the main reason I swapped it.

Ya I really like the look, it is very aggressive looking... I was trying to find a picture of one on google, but nothing... Thanks for posting those...
Good idea on grinding them out. I had an idea after reading "Carbon's" post, to grind the molding down and bondo/fiberglass to give them a round look.

no prob...

you should be able to sand it smooth and just primer it. I dont think you need any grinding or fillers.
