The injector on my 85 duke just started making a whistling sound, the car runs great except for an up and down idle and it actually feels faster than the 85 GT I just got from 0 to 30. Does this sound mean the injector is failing or could it just be a particle stuck in it? Thanks

It's common for the injector to click loudly, but the whistling sound definitely is not normal. If I remember correctly, the injector has a screen filter in the top, where the fuel goes in. It wouldn't hurt to take a peek in there.

IAC has a problem whistling if the tip is groove worn or the o-ring is broke. air going thru the crack whistles, and also had them whistle when the TB base was carbon filled. Hope that helps aslo check for the skrews in the butterfly. i had one loose a skrew and it made a loud whistle.
