Ok guys long time lurker first time poster. I have been working on a 62 chevy c10 with a straight 6 216 3.5l that has been a nightmare.. I will have plenty more questions for you guys I'm sure but here is the first one. I'm trying to hook up an after market analog oil pressure gauge. There was no kind of sending unit or idiot light unit on this block so it is really hard to find a place to hook it to. My solution is to buy a t fitting that can screw into the oil filter housing and then in the 2 female fittings on the t the original oil line that threaded into the housing should screw into one and the gauge should screw into the other. What I am curious about is does anyone know what size the threads are for these oil line fittings? The T has M10 x 1.0 threads. Does that sound like the generic size for the oil line fittings? Here is a picture of what I am talking about. This is not the same motor or anything but the oil filter setup is exactly like this one..
