this summer I got a cheap pair of 2.8 valve covers on clearance at summit. they are thin chrome ones. I was wanting to use these new valve covers but the rubber grommet for pcv and the other side as well doesn't fit. also they are not going to have the oil blocker on the inside. There any one that has used ones like this. Is there going to be too much oil going into the pcv and into the intake. I figured I could make new grommets to fit or even find some that would fit, but worried about the oil.

quick search on summit shows I can get the grommets for a few bucks. so now the oil getting into the intake and pcv valve is the question.

and with a little more searching I see universal grommets with oil baffles to keep the oil out. Still I would like any input if someone has dealt with this before.

I removed the factory pcv vaccum lines and put 2 small filters in place and just let it vent to the atmosphere. If you buy cleanable filters you can wash them every time you change the oil. .. oil seeping shouldnt be much of an issue.
