Just wondering when did the Generation II headlights get installed in the Fiero? I always thought that it was 87 up. I just seen a set on ebay saying to upgrade your car from an 84 to an 86 headlight system.

You are correct. Gen II headlight system was on 87-88 Fiero. You can retrofit the system to 84-86 models.

So my fiero is a Gen 1 system? It seems like they ran some wires outside and hooked up a switch inside for the lights to go up at least not to go down.

If yours is 84-86 and the motors are NOISY with big squared off knobs, it's the original Gen I system. Gen II has quieter motors with smaller, tapered knobs and an electronics module hidden behind the LH (I believe it's the LH side) front wheel well. Gen II system is far better than Gen I
