Couple of strange things going on with my instrument lights.
Is it normal for all the dash lights and warning buzzer to sound when the brake pedal is pressed?

My turn signal and hazard light work normally until i turn my headlights on then the tach jumps with the turn signal and instead of the arrow flashing the bright light flashes. any thoughts.

I have spent forever trying to figure this stuff out. After playing with grounds, fuses, and switches I took the dash apart and found a plug half unpluged. Pushed it in and now everything works normal except the fuel gauge still does not work. Also i have a check engine light that i did not know about.

Still need to know if it is normal for the dash lights to all come on when the brake pedel i pressed?
Now that i know i have a check engine light is there a way to check for codes without scan tool?
What would cause the fuel gauge not to work? I have already dropped the gas tank and tried to adjust the fuel sending unit. No change after doing all that.

Still working on my dash lights coming on when the brake pedal is pressed the left turn arrow also lights up when the pedal is pressed. There are three wires coming from the plug orange, white, and light blue. Orange has constant power, white has no power and LT blue has power when the pedal is pressed. From my manual I notice light blue controls the left turn signal and maybe it should not have power when the pedal is pressed? My power mirrors work in three directions but not right. The power mirror switch also has the orange as constant and the light blue wire. With a test light on the blue wire pressing left it lights up and the mirrors move. when I press right the test light lights up and the mirrors give a slight twitch to the right. when I do not have the test light on the blue wire and press right nothing happens not even the twitch.

I am thinking this light blue wire is the problem for both the power mirrors and the brake pedal issue but where do I go from here? I am obviously bad at electrical but want to track this problem down and resolve it. Any help would be great.
