I have both an 87 and 88 Duke that I need to read what the sensors are doing. I also have a ALDL cable and WinALDL that I use to use on my 86 with the V6. I thought some one told me that I can not use what I have to work on the 87/88 Duke. If that is true what can I get to work?

Nope, it won't work. I thought someone came up with a solution, but I would have to search the archives.

I found a close .ADX TunerPro RT definition that with a little modification now works for the 87 - 88 duke.

The definition is included on my install disk. You can download the install disk on my website. Just click the yellow button at the bottom and save the .ZIP file of the entire install disk.

It will work with both serial and USB versions of the cable. The only requirement is that your cable has to support data on the pin that your vehicle supplies it on. That would be either Pin E or Pin M. Look at your connector and to see what pins are populated with terminals.

So if you already have a cable that matches even if it is from someone else, you don't need to order mine. If however you don't have a cable then please go ahead and order mine. For an 87-88 you are looking for the 12 pin to USB version. My12 pin SERIAL cable only suports pin E. My 12 pin USB cable supports both pins E & M>

TunerPro RT (free version) is included on the install disk. It is the program I recommend by far to scan any OBD1 gasoline ECM. It runs 100% after a 10 second nag screen. If you want to avoid the nag screen you can purchase a license. You are never required however to purchase a license.

I include most popular definitions for most GM (and Holden) OBD1 82 - 95 data acquisition definitions on the disk.
