im going to be putting a 4 speed in my 86 gt auto 3.2 soon. i have an 84 with a 4 speed parts car laying around. a local yard has a muncie with the reinforced case that i want to buy. its from a cavalier. is that compatible? can i use the trans mounts and axles from my 84? do i need to put different wheel hubs on or can i stick with the ones currently on my 86? what flywheel is correct for the 3.2? im pretty sure the clutch pedal, master, slave and cables will work from my 84 but i could be wrong. id like to make sure i have everything i need before i start. thanks in advance

If the Cavalier tranny is the 5 speed getrag you will need a Fiero 5 speed shifter, cables and either buy Rodneys kit or make one for the shifter cable brackets at the tranny end and tranny mounts. For the flywheel basically 88 and newer 60 degree V6 engines use a neutrally balanced flywheel and 87 and older is a balanced one so depends on what year engine you have. With stock axles your stock hubs fit fine and you will most likely need a different slave for the cav tranny. Dan
