I don't "wonder" about it at all. It stands to reason that being one of the very few non-MAGA supporters here in P&R will lead to negative ratings from the usual suspects. I don't lose any sleep over it.

Feel free to let us know that you made a dick move, admit to it, and quit lying about it.
Well, it wasn't a lie but, if it makes you feel better, I can start referring to you as Patricia, Would rather not do that, some day the real Patricia and I might become friends and if she found out I used such a description (as her close neighbors describe her), she could become upset. I'd rather stay on her good side. BTW, did you check out that reflection? The View might have an opening anytime.............

Yeah right. In a post joking about wishing to be argumentative (which you've repeatedly posted you have an issue with me about), you supposedly bring up a woman by name that no one here has ever heard about before. This makes no sense whatsoever. You're as unconvincing a liar as Trump.

Mocking me behind my back is a dick move, and you know it. Just man up and admit the truth.
Gosh, Patrick, I've got a whole lot of neighbors and friends I've never mentioned on Pennock's before. Sorry, I won't be posting a list of them for you. That is the truth. Just because one of them has a name similar to yours who also has a very bad attitude, is hateful, is WOKE and thinks everyone else owes her and gets very upset when folks disagree with her (I'm told) and that you seem to be interested. I don't know if she's married or not, would you like me to find out.
Edited: Or, you have previously mentioned you have family and friends in the US (if my memory is correct), could this possibly be a relative, a sister maybe? If you come down for a visit, be sure to stop by and say hello.

OK, there's Bill and Pat, James lives close, Bill's brother Ron a short distance down the road, there's Tim up on the corner, and of course, Patricia. Want more names?
No, I wanted more truth... but obviously it's not coming from you. Sorry, but your cockamamie story just doesn't wash.
This is random, but every time I hear the word Cockamamie... I think of Ayatollah Cockamamie... which I believed came from a computer game from when I was a little kid, called "Nuclear War."
It's hard to see... but now I realize it says (upper-left) "Kookamamie," which is totally not cockamamie... but I still think Ayatollah Cockamamie is better.
No, I wanted more truth... but obviously it's not coming from you. Sorry, but your cockamamie story just doesn't wash.
Sorry Patrick, you don't get to skew the truth regardless of how you feel. If I hurt your feeling, I apologize.
May I call you Patty from now on to avoid any confusion with my almost neighbor or would you prefer Patrick? BTW, Patricia kind of resembles that toad....... Not what I'd call attractive but..............
Sorry Patrick, you don't get to skew the truth regardless of how you feel.
I don't need to skew anything. I'm done with this now, but the facts are all laid out in plain view.

Several months ago, you requested that I not use your actual name when addressing you. I've respected your wishes. I, on the other hand, would prefer you use my actual name. I'd appreciate it then if you could reciprocate the respect.
"Bogus accusations which have no merit are a dangerous game to play. Shall we discuss your fondness for little boys?" Cliff might have a problem with this quote as it might a negative impact on his forum google ratings.

Will use your posted name. Respect is earned, not given. But, we'll see how this works out.
Cliff might have a problem with this quote as it might a negative impact on his forum google ratings.
Is that why you've posted it three more times now? You're hoping it'll have a "negative impact on his forum google ratings"?
If you're all that concerned about it, alert Cliff Pennock. And make sure to send him the link to the bogus accusation that initiated the exchange of bogus accusations.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said late Thursday that he was ending “all trade negotiations” with Canada because of a television ad opposing U.S. tariffs that he said misstated the facts and called “egregious behavior” aimed at influencing U.S. court decisions.
The post on Trump's social media site came after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he aims to double his country’s exports to countries outside the U.S. because of the threat posed by Trump’s tariffs. Trump's call for an abrupt end to negotiations could further inflame trade tensions that already have been building between the two neighboring countries for months.
There's more in the article if you follow the link.
His speech is being taken out of context, which is why Trump is upset.
Reagan is stating here that having tariffs (for your own protection) is pointless. But Canada ALREADY has unfair trade practices against the United States, so it doesn't apply here. This speech would literally be associated to Canada, not the United States in this instance. Trump wants completely free trade, across the board. And Canada has routinely found loopholes in every trade negotiation that's screwed the United States.
I still get frustrated by the fact that they imposed a tax on anything not made in Canada, which resulted in more than 3/4ths of auto production moving just across the border to Canada. I'm not Canadian, and I haven't been there in a couple of years, but is that still going on?
Originally posted by Patrick: To be certain, the smuggling of the synthetic opioid fentanyl — which Trump has singled out as being a chief concern — has historically been an issue of significantly higher magnitude at the Mexican border.
Approximately 20 kilograms of fentanyl were seized at the Canada-U.S. border from October 2023 to September 2024, compared to more than 9,500 kilograms at the Mexico-U.S. border, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data.
That is 20 more than we want. Interesting that when we choked the Mexican supply, the Canadian smuggling increased. What does the Canadian government do to stifle fentanyl imports ?

Read an article this morning that the Reagan Foundation is suing over the misrepresentation and editing of that video.

I'm sorry, but that's crazy talk. Trump's stated over and over and over again that he loves tariffs. If Trump wanted free trade "across the board", why has he levied tariffs on basically every country in the world except for Belarus, Russia and North Korea?
Read an article this morning that the Reagan Foundation is suing over the misrepresentation and editing of that video.
And I've read that this is mostly false. A one minute ad was being produced, so of course there was editing of the original five minute speech. Good luck to whomever wishes to sue over this. It'll go nowhere.

Well, the truth always comes out eventually. I have no proof the Reagan Foundation is doing anything. Although, I do agree with Todd on how the context was off base.
...the ad’s overall message doesn’t misrepresent Reagan’s views on tariffs. Reagan said he believed that in the long-term, tariffs would lead to trade wars and hurt Americans.
So we can agree to disagree that "the context was off base".

Well, we have no trade agreements with them... we actually have sanctions on them. You're misrepresenting Trump's use of tariffs. He's doing reciprocal tariffs. You know this.

Todd, please... Suggesting that Trump is only reciprocating tariffs on every country on the planet (minus Belarus, Russia, North Korea) is utter nonsense. You should know this.
Donald Trump originally tweeted out that the Ontario, Canada ad with President Reagan was "FAKE". It isn't, but here's a video starring Reagan which is AI... and it's hilarious!
