Hello, long time member on here but just with my 2 88's and general engine swap q&a.
However i think i foud a Mera but it's confusing to me. Has Cromadoor wheels, the mirror adjusting "stick" but does NOT have the rear ford reverse lights.
Did any Meras come without these lights? I bought it regardless but want to know if it's a "kit" or a real Mera. thanks for your input.

AFAIK, MERA body parts have a number on them somewhere.

Once it's in my custody, i will post pics. I bought it sight unseen, it's a real mess and has been sitting forever. Got the "ran when it was parked" story but not concerned about any of that. I hope it's not but guessing the frame is shot so probably just take the body off and put on my forever formula project. If it's solid, it'll be #3 of my herd. It's just odd that is has some Mera parts and then some things that don't belong. Either way I'm excited to go get it Friday. Can never have too many projects!!

For what it's worth I have seem 5 Meras in person. One was the 86 prototype and it did not have the Ford backup lights, they were in the center of the rear turn signal lenses. The others all had the Ford backup lights. All the pictures of Meras I have seen had the Ford backup lights also. The US sales brochure pictures show a Mera with backup lights in the rear turn signal lenses. The Japan sales brochure pictures show a Mera with the Ford backup lights.

There is a sticker on the engine cover with the Mera serial number, VIN number and paint code. The door panels also have a topper added that matches the contour of the door skin.
