Gratz Lisa! Ironically, I was just looking at upgrading my radio as the original is being quirky and I wondered how a touch screen would look. I'm curious, were there any touchscreen units available that would fit in the stock slot?
Captian Lisa, nice install and it looks like it belongs there.

There is another possibility and that is to use a 1.5 DIN (standard) to a 1.0 DIN adapter (around $15) and install a 1.0 DIN radio with a pop up 7" touch screen. I have done this on two cars and the head unit now incorporates Bluetooth, NAV, aux input, dvd slot, etc. This is sort of the best of both worlds and does not involve cutting the cover panel and reworking it.
I have done something similar with a Jensen head unit but do not have current photos since I sold the car.
