2017 will see.. -Brake upgrade(hopefully C5 in the front + TBD in the rear) -Poly suspension up front -Properly fixed sub-woofer(mine goes in and out..) -Plasti-dip(!?) -Better fix for the leaky T-tops -Fixed rear trunk seal(or a new one) -Re-clocking the tensioner/going back to stock 3800 tensioner. -Installing a roof rack on my second decklid -Possible hood vent for the radiator? -Refurbish the tail lights! -Hopefully a lonnnnnng road trip(+600 miles) What are YOU going to do for your Fiero this year?

Ran it out of gas in the heat Blew the brake booster diaphragm twice--once in 75MPH traffic Drive it about 2000 miles Replaced the ignition coil Cleaned the decklid vents Detailed the engine compartment Got my tail lights polished Got my sill inserts cleaned up Had my steering wheel recovered Replaced the FPR, intake gaskets Cleaned the injectors
Picked up parts: alternator, water pump, oil pump, vacuum lines, tensioner pulley, power pulley, cat, muffler, etc
I bought a 1988 basket case in 2016. 2017 will be the year to install a 3.6 High Feature V6 with an F40 transmission, big brakes, better suspension and an updated interior. The project will probably take 2 years.
2016 Installed cruise and got the AC to work Installed new headliner, cleaned up, painted, and dewarped the interior Installed PW/PL and w/ Rodneys faster window motors Installed 575/425 springs Installed 17x8 and 18x9.5 wheels w/ 235/40/17 and 285/30/18 tires Machined a new tensioner arm from billet aluminum Ran a couple of autocross events Drove it 3000 miles in 7 days long hauling the Hot Rod Power Tour Overall, I think I put 10-12k miles on it this year (36K miles on the swap in the last 3 years)
2017 Started working on a turbo upgrade Would like to do something about the paint... probably will try wrapping it Would like to do the HRPT again

Haven't had a Fiero since 2003, however I plan on getting a Fiero once I find the right candidate and this years plans include.
B207L swap with f35 5 speed out of my current daily driver. I purchased this car for $1000, I tune cars and I always focus on fuel mileage. I've been able to bring it from the stock 175 hp rating up to about 240 - 250 while having stock turbo setup. More importantly I get between 42 and 48 mpg highway depending on how aggressive I drive. Generally avg 40 mpg for a round trip.
The goal is 50+ mpg, 280 - 300 whp and a weight under 2600 lbs. Horsepower really isn't that important however as I have built cars with 1000+ and it's not really a priority these days.
Would be doing full suspension and brakes as well, In the past I've had a camed + spray Z06 that spoiled me basically. After parting ways with it I bought a 08 SRT-10 Viper and while it handled quite nicely it was a pretty harsh ride for a daily driver. I much preferred the z06.
So basically would like to build a car that could perform somewhat close to my z06 did as far as handling and brakes while getting the mpg of a Prius and the power to weight of a stock c5 z06.
Gonna be quite the project I'd imagine. I haven't came across any b207 based builds, I figure my biggest challenge will be keeping the Saab ecu setup. I do not want to mess with a stand alone ecu setup. As that gets quite costly and from what I can tell you lose out quite a bit as far as tuning goes unless you spend quite a bit.
Early 2016 brought 86se. During the year played around with it, got it running good, fixed a few things and like a silly bugger couple of weeks ago went and brought another one an 87gt. That's 2017 taken care of.

How did you dewarp? I tried a few methods and I'm not sure how permanent they will be

Scrape the old foam from the sections that have pulled away. Then use gorilla glue to reattach. You get better results if you cut small lengths of metal to help spread the load while clamping them as the glue dries. It is very important to not clamp them too tight. It also helps to do this in the summer time as the parts are more flexible. Here are some sample pics.

Awesome, I did something similar except with wood instead of metal. I used a 2500 psi mixed epoxy and did it indoors this winter. I am just worried that it won't hold up, I guess I'll see! Now if I could figure out how to flatten the trim pieces that go around the HVAC controls because those warped with the the other piece..
Plan for 2017. 87GT Black Look at improvements to further improve the sound of the short /loud 3800SC exhaust Grease rod ends and ball joints Install new carpet.
85 GT rag top. Get the ready prepped 4.9L (sitting on a cradle with the harness) in and running. Hook up trans cooler lines. Put in auto shifter mechanism. Install the interior, carpet, door panels etc. Do some spot painting Find a good convertible top man to install the top. Get new 17" wheels and tires as last step.

Does your wife have an itemized list of your Fiero parts--complete with room--on her things that annoy her list? I never have to inventory anything. Very handy, when I need to find something. For some reason, mine doesn't include model and part numbers on her list. I mean, that's VERY important info.
2016: Ran a little over 3000 miles in 8 days long hauling Hot Rod Power Tour Ran a little 1500 miles doing the Cruising the Coast Pulled dash 4 times for electrical upgrades
2017: Replace transmission filter Complete sanding and painting front hood Install a combo GPS/Radio/DVD head unit Re-do Headliner; work has begun Install LED headlights

That's divorce worthy material right there. Not even keeping the part numbers down? Smh
Still looking for that special wrench so I can take care of the loose nut behind the wheel.....and find something to fill in the dip in the driver's seat- the last may become uncomfortable depending on what I decide to use.....
The 88: 2016: upgraded the throttle body, blow off valve and a few other items. 2017: looking at upgrading the fuel injectors and installing a haltech ecu to replace the oe stuff and get it tuned.
The Indy: 2016: sat in storage all year. 2017: Hope to get it to the new house and get some work done to it.
88GT Installed an autodim rearview mirror from sardonyx247 Removed dashboard and interior chasing voltage drop issue on fuse link a circuit Reinstalled dash after determining no problem Removed and cleaned evaporator Cleaned up my alarm wiring install Installed a double din Kenwood stereo Purchase a wrecked 1991 Lumina Z34 for $225 to start an LQ1 swap to my car, scrapped car minus engine, ecm, harness for $155 (investment in engine $70) Had LQ1 heads gone through at machine shop, milled, 3 angle valve job, etc $480 Block is now at machine shop getting intermediate shaft bearings $40

88 COUPE Getting this coupe from a friend for free for working for him. Its a 2.5 automatic that has been sitting for years and will serve as a spare car for my family and my wife can actually drive it. change all fluids, service transmission, tune up, valve cover gasket, needs front end rebuild (upper control arm bushings, rack bushing), brakes seized (free up, new hoses, rotors, pads, etc), install my factory 88GT wheels onto this car (since they have good tires), pull tank to fix fuel sender
Not gloating here but wow you guys have a lots of work to do.
I guess I got lucky when I picked up my '88 three years ago when it had only 48K miles on it.
I did all the recommended fixes, like replace the various electronic sensors and distributor parts but most of the mechanical work was performance related.
I'm extremely happy with the car. Not a Corvette killer but a lively little weekender.
Bought a n 87 GT with a TPI 305 in it. Did all kinds of basic maintenance that hadn't been done. Found out the computer was bad, replaced that and had a chip made from Sinister performance. (Darth Fiero helped a lot there with advice.) Checked wiring all over, replaced relays, removed some unneeded wires and vacuum lines, touch up painted a bit in and out. Added an engine ground. Cleaned out airbox. Replaced cap and rotor and ran cut to length wires. New plugs. Set teh adjustable TPS. Set the timing. Stopped a coolant hose leak, a coolant tank leak, a gas hose leak, remote oil filter leak, exhaust header leak. Eliminated use of 9th injector. Put better CAI on it. Put inner fenders on it. Cleaned everything. Replaced rear brake caliper, replaced brake pads. Replaced rear brake hoses with braided. Drove it on a cruise with the Minnesota club. That's what I remember.
Sold the 2m4 to a friend after removing a few custom things.
In 2017 the GT needs paint work by a pro in front, the bottom of the nose has missing paint, this will prove interesting as it is a custom pearl color. Hook stereo system back up and test. Probably put GT seats in it and sell the Trans Am seats that are in it. Id like to get AC on it eventually.
The Formula needs me to add the belt tensioner I bought from Dodgerunner.
2016: 3800 SC Series II swap, stock brakes, poly in the rear, solid cradle mounts, custom trunk.
2017: Interior resto (almost complete) and drive the piss out of her
