I came across two crate 3.4 DOHC LQ1 engines and bought both. One for my replica and the other is up for sale to fund it's install. I'd rather sell local but shipping isn't out of the question. The engine has never been installed in a car or ran. It comes as a long block with the water pump. I'll post pictures by monday but it's pretty much a stock long block LQ1 engine. I'm asking $500 plus $300 for shipping within the US.

WOW! Wish I had the time and money to do that install. So close to home too! I've always thought the 3.4 dohc would be a great engine for the Fiero. Goodluck!

Yes, $500 and the buyer arranges/pays for shipping.
Cool, let me look into it. I'll shoot you a PM this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Should have picked one of these up when they were on eBay - glad someone still has one available.

Well I guess these things are not worth what I thought they were. $450 plus what ever shipping costs............ Any lower and I'm just going to recycle the motor aluminum/steal.

I just picked up a DOHC Formula and it came with a crate motor probally from the same guy u got urs from. Plans where to sell it but looks like there is not much of a market. Which makes me think I will just put toether another swap using it along with all the other extra parts...

I was quoted $300 to ship it to Florida from Sacramento.
You can ship it for $150 if you look around, if you're ok with strapping it to a pallet/ wrapping it and dropping it off at the nearest terminal of the company. It'd have to be picked up at a terminal by the buyer as well.
I have a motor crate for it and the quote I got for $300 was terminal to loading dock from Sacramento to Florida. I have no problem shipping it the cheapest possible way and helping the buyer with what ever is needed to get it shipped.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the shipping is really expensive. More that I don't actually need a motor right now, but at $450 I'd have a hard time not buying it for a spare or future needs. However, after the shipping cost, I can't justify spending that amount when I don't actually need one right now.
If I were in need of an engine, even with the shipping cost, this would be a good buy.

I didn't think you were implying anything. I was just responding to Nitroheadz28 and putting the shipping info I found out there. Thanks all for the input guys. NOW! Someone buy it!

I see you got a shipping price of $300 to fl who is the shipper so I can see how much to ship to Lebanon NH
The quote was from www.freightcenter.com for a company named Xpress Global. I got a quote through them to Lebanon NH for $411.49 using Xpress Global. If you want to get your own quote go for it. I can drop it off at a terminal near 95655.
