For sale is an 18K mile LS4 4T65e-HD from a 2007 Impala. It comes with the starter, torque converter, flex plate, transmission controller and all wiring pigtails (connectors + 18" of wire). The VSS sensor is broken and will need replaced and the transmission cooler lines are bent/cut. I do not have the axles, but the DS inboard tripod housing is included.

You can use this transmission to install most other LS based engines in a fiero with an adapter plate the proper thickness. The Street Dreams SBC adapter plate (under $300) could easily be modified to bolt this transmission to most LS base engine swaps... cut the starter mount off, drill 4 clearance holes for the rear engine cover and notch it slightly. The LS4 starter and flexplate will also work on any other LS series engines...so this transmission will greatly simplify an LS install and help save you some $$$.

I am looking for $900+ shipping but that price is negotiable and I may consider some items for partial trades (like an F40 6 speed and parts for an F40 swap). I would prefer local pickup and I am willing to meet someone in Louisville, Lexington, or Cincy or the last 2 weeks of June I will be in IL and could offer meeting someone in Indy, STL, Effingham or Kankakee.

Here is a pic of Don Kraus' LSx using this transmission:

It is pretty much the only way you can install an automatic with an LS based engine unless you fabricate a custom oil pan to make room for the starter.
