Was watching the Son of the Pink Panther this morning and one gun in particular caught my eye, I looked it up on the IMFDB and that's what I think the gun was, she, the person in the movie using it cocked it by sliding the forward hand grip back towards the receiver, much like you would a pump action shotgun, if I am not mistaken. it looks very small and compact. after looking it up further to find out more I found the we had used it in Vietnam to some degree, the earlier version during the Tet Offensive in 1968 when the Marines guarding the U.S. embassy in Saigon.

so has anyone ever seen or used this? know a little bit more about it? it seems to still be in production by Berretta to this day in a different version. looks to be a nice little compact machine gun.

Well after finding a video on You tube it seems it is not the gun does anyone know hat gun it was, the one from the movie?

The gun you are thinking of is the Jatimatic SMG. I've never shot one, but have seen 1 at Knob Creeek. It is a very interesting thing. Never saw it shot though. Couldn't talk much to the owner, he was flooded with questions on some of his other guns.

That's it, thanks, well it cocks the same way but I thought the one in the movie LOOKED more like the Berretta with the smaller forward hand grip. if you ever watch the movie, the Son of the Pink Panther it is in the car accident scene and the woman is seen cocking it.

thanks though,

well thanks to you tube again I can see that it is that gun, at about 1:05 into that clip you will see the gun and after being able to see the gun more closely and repeatedly I see you are exactly right.

thanks again
