The image I selected as my avatar is supposed to be a gif but comes out as a picture instead. How can I make it a gif?

On the edit avatar description, it says that it's not supposed to be over 100K or it will eventually get deleted, when I saved it to my computer it says it's 491KB

When you resize a GIF using common software, it loses transparency and animation.
Use an on-line site to set the size to no more than 70 pixels in the largest dimension, then upload to PFF.

Some of the on-line sites work but some are ad traps. Use this simple, free program instead to re-size animated GIF's:

Thanks for the help, but for some reason when i made it smaller it didn't want to work. So when Jake_Dragon offered, it was a deal that i couldn't refuse.

We purchased it for work then when they stopped using it I rescued the disk from the shredder.
Its doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but it can resize gifs pretty well

Does ulead support converting video to GIF?
