New Orleans @ Green Bay Cincy @ Cleveland Detroit @ Tampa Bay Buffalo @ Kansas City Atlanta @ Chicago Philly @ St Louis (My upset Pick) Pittsburgh @ Baltimore Indianapolis @ Houston Tennessee @ Jax Carolina @ Arizona Seattle @ San Francisco New Yourk Giants @ Washington Minnesota @ San Diego Dallas @ NY Jets New England @ Miami Oakland @ Denver Tiebreaker (21-17)
Anybody can play, for bragging rights. But to get a full week predicted to compete, you have to have your picks posted by the kickoff tomorrow night @ 7:30 CST. I will post weekly results of wins at the end of every week, and keep a tally as well.
(No edits on or after game day of the first game, to be fair.. so get it right the first time or have it changed before midnight the night before the first game)

BTW anyone else think that Seattle is the new Detroit?
I'll reserve judgement on a playoff team from last year until they at least get a record as bad as Detroit has had for the last 3. But I think Arizona is going to dominate the west.. their schedule is SO EASY, and this year they have a real QB.

If you're interested, I can dust off the google spreadsheet I've been using the last couple years and use that again.

Actually, it looks like I'm not using the google spreadsheet anymore, looks like this is the spreadsheet I used last year, but I'd be willing to do that again if you guys wanted.

I set up a CBS Pool just to make it easier to make picks if anyone is interested. Naskie has been kind enough to volunteer to add these into the spreadsheet also so everyone is on the same page.
Damn! I missed this thread. I guess I'll start a week late next week, that acceptable?
Since its just for bragging rights, I dont see why it would be a problem. I am getting housed so bad, you will probably catch me even though you got no picks this week. (I think I am currently at 3 games right out of what... 9 so far? Terrible!)

I think there's only one person (Uaana) over 50% at the moment....
HAHAHAH, F U to all those who though the steelers would win, THIS IS OUR YEAR *smacks chest* (now that being siad we will probably not win another game lmao)

Heh.. one should reaonably expect a team that was in the superbowl and won the previous 6 meeting with the Ravens to have an advantage. That was a slaughter, though.
This is also my personal worst opening week for the football picks. Yikes.
Good thing Ray Rice is on my fantasy team. I thought QBs were supposed to make all my points. He scored over twice what Freeman had, and three times what Schaub had. Now if I had taken Grossman... who would have thought?

Is your avatar supposed to be a smurf version of Ray Lewis when he killed that guy?
edit: Figures it gets changed right as I comment on it.

It's a long season, but as soon as Manning had his 3rd neck surgery, I figured them to win that division and FINALLY make the playoffs for the first time. Lots of time left for any team to be decimated by injuries, though.
Just an observation: All off-season I have heard that the NFC South is the new "strongest division" in the NFL. Every NFC South team is 0-1 right now. Currently, the division with the BEST record is the NFC North, which everyone except the Vikings are 1-0, and even the Vikings held their own against a very good Chargers team. McNabb needs some help, he has one good wideout and no good blockers.

Gotta at least credit me for one win, because I would have picked my team, the Eagles to win this and every week. So I guess I'm the farthest behind right now? I'll catch up!

Yeah, even after all that you are only 5 behind me. LOL
I loved the last play of the Jets-Cowboys game. Because of course missing the draft, it auto-picked my defense early and gave me the Jets. Thanks for those extra two points Dallas. Now I just need McFadden and/or Rob Gronkowski to do well tonight, and I just might make a Monday night comeback.
Looks like you got the win Holley. My buddy Marty is gonna be maaaaaad.
I won without my two players (Moreno, Marshall) even going until tonight. Now I am just going for league high-points, because every little bit counts if you are trying to make the playoffs as the wildcard. My opponent (the BYBruisers) left over 100 points on the bench. (60 between Steve Smith and Joe Flacco) Even if he had played them, I would have won... but thats a lot of points on the bench.
