Pretty easy, really:

1. Many voters don't really bother to get informed about their choices
2. Anti-incumbency is SO strong, because of what politicians have been doing over the last year or so, they'll vote for anyone but an incumbent. Sound familiar (like "anyone but Bush")?

Well, I think it's a "tea-bagging" and not a "fudgepacking" contest where contestents toss tea-bags into some type of board game dipicting a politians mouth. Granted, I won't be attending the event, but I'm sure we'll here more about they're antics in a video on youtube. As with any "mob" mentality here--there's a tendency to force others into submission and dictate to a person that they can't use the word "tea-bagging" thus Neptune is playing on the Tea-Party's silliness in using a term that contains a double meaning in the title. Let us not get upset because he is witty/clever enough to use it as the title.

As for Neptune--come on. Are you saying Neptune called somebody here a B-word, N-word, or the F-word? The insults on this forum slings both ways and nobody (including me) are immune to it. The sad part is; anybody whose views aren't the majority here are drummed-out and ousted-out on their ear in the form of a (-).

Actually, I like the name tea bagger, as long as I am the one doing the tea bagging and not the recipient.

[QUOTE]

YES, that is ECACTLY what I am saying. I am not homosexual and I am NOT a teabagger. The T.E.A. party stands for Taxed Enough Already. It has NOTHING to do with ANY type of sexual act. ANY person/people that MISREPRESENT the "Tea Party" with sexual acts do it out of there own reasons knowing full well that they may not be representing the views of others.
INFACT the people that are "teabagging" for the "republican tea party" are just demonstrating for gay rights. That's it, any thing to draw attention to there cause. They have little to nothing top do with advancing the goals of the Tea Party movement.

neptune DOES intend to call people the equivalent of the B-word N-word AND F-word EVERY time he uses it. And BTW so does EVERY body else that purposely uses the term. neptune is not alone in the name calling game. I have done it too. And I am sure it will happen again. Just be honest about it. Don't act like a little kid that uses a bad word in front of the parent and gets reprimanded, then tries to come up with some lame excuse to explain it away.

You are a smart man Curly and I do hold you in the highest regard, it is OK to have a political view that is different than mine or any one elses. But please dont play this symantical nut shell game. Just say you think he is funny for disrepecting the Tea Party, or what ever you feel. But I just dont think you truly belive the tea baggers are bagging for the tea party?

I hope that it is not what it looks like on the surface.
Most politicians think voters are idiots, and I am fearful this only adds to the flame.

Dang Rick, upon reading your response-you made me spit up my vanilla Coke! Right now I can't respond--my stomach is hurting from laughing.

You're giving Neptune a new title for another up coming thread.

Dems confused by Greene's victory

An almost unknown candidate stunned Democratic Party leaders when he scored a primary victory in South Carolina last week and beat out Charleston councilman and former judge, Vic Rawl.

In an interview with ABC News, Alvin Greene insisted his victory had nothing to do with luck: "I got 60 percent of the vote, and 60 percent is not luck.... If it was 51 percent, then maybe it would be luck," he suggested.

But if it was not luck, lawmakers want to know what pushed the Manning, South Carolina resident to victory over Democratic favorite, Vic Rawl. Greene had no campaign website and no yard signs. He raised zero funds and did not give a single campaign speech during the primary.

Moreover, it has been learned since the election that the victor was previously arrested for a charge of felony obscenity. He allegedly showed "obscene" internet pictures to a University of South Carolina student and could face up to five years in prison.

In addition to Greene's possible prison time, some question the legitimacy of his campaign and want to know how an unemployed military veteran could afford the $10,400 filing fee to run for Senate.

Joel Sawyer, executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, says it appears that Greene's background was not properly researched.

"They didn't have a clue about this person's background," Sawyer regards. "And from all indications, they didn't exercise even a basic level of due diligence to find out who he was...where he was from, or in this case...some charges against him."

Since Greene's victory, some within the Democratic Party suggest he was a "plant," and Rep. James Clyburn (D) is calling for the U.S. Attorney's office to do an investigation. But the Republican Party executive director believes those allegations are nothing more than the Democratic Party's way of diverting embarrassment.

The unemployed military veteran will go on to face Senator Jim DeMint (R), who has $3.5 million cash available for the November general election.

Somewhere along the way, voters on both sides of the aisle rediscovered their pragmatism. They remembered that viability, not just purity, is also important. In Arkansas, pundits were predicting the demise of two-term conservative Democrat Blanche Lincoln in a runoff, but voters proved them wrong, and Lincoln wrangled a surprise comeback. In Iowa, Republicans bucked the Tea Party trend and gave former four-term governor Terry Branstad another shot at his old job. Likewise, in Virginia's Fifth Congressional District, six Tea Party candidates went home disappointed on Tuesday as the Establishment Republican, state senator Robert Hurt, ran away with the nomination, beating his closest opponent by more than 20 points.

Maybe smarter than you think.

Republican John Boozman now holds a near two-to-one lead over Democratic incumbent Blanche Lincoln in Arkansas’ U.S. Senate race, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state.

Boozman earns 61% of the vote, while Lincoln, coming off her Democratic Primary runoff win last week, picks up 32% support. Four percent (4%) favor some other candidate in the race, while just three percent (3%) remain undecided.
