OK, since I own page two, I'm Going RogueTM here: Sorry to break the news to the Glenn "Tea Bag" Beck faithful, but its already been voted on. Once in 2008, and again yesterday. America won. FOX 'news' lost. And all the attorneys general who are threatening to sue the Federal government will only waste millions of OUR tax dollars grandstanding in hopes of getting a few votes from the Dixiecrats extreme fringe voters come the next election. Because after all the time and our money is spent, this will still be law. What happened to conservatives being the so called "fiscally responsible" ones? Oh, yeah. Reagan and Bush II nailed that coffin shut. .
And for the record, YES!

First, the patriotic group who are gathering against the Obama-care socialistic agenda, have nicknamed themselves the Tea Party. Calling themselves something else, like you did, is a pejorative. If you do not know what that word means, shame on your educational background! Your comments in general confirms you are young and obviously do not understand business, the profit/loss quotient and the stream of commerce. Try to understand (if you do not understand this analogy, ask your dad): If a seller of a 88 T-Top GT LT1 V8 built Fiero, puts the price of his car at $8,000 and all you can only offer $250, the seller won't sell you the car, if and when, there are more competitive offers. See? That is simple. If you are still do not understand, e-mail Obama, maybe he can give you a LOOONG speech, having inane placid platitudes about how unfair it is that 30 million other Fiero owners want this car and how unfair it is that only a few people can afford it. He will go on and on, and you will lick his {blank}, that other people should give you their money, so you can have what you want, that gorgeous Fiero. Second, what do you care if the attorney general "wastes money"? If it is unconstitutional for the federal government to force you to give them your money, for somone elses health coverage, then it is not really wasteful. It was posted earlier but I will give you this fact again: Obama has, so far, outspent all the presidents combined, as far back as Washington (he was our first president if you did not know) in adding a constricting deficit to the American budget. This is what people are complaining about. Then adding another government entitlement to this figure, with a credit card debt that will last forever, severely weakens our trade balance with other countries. This horrible debt increase, causes inflation and thus our bond rating becomes weaker. I did not want to overpower your knowledge, but I want others who might read this to understand. Again, ask your dad to read you this, if he is a business man, he'll understand.
Cordially, Kevin

In principle I would vote yes. As Americans, I think we should try to help one another and providing health coverage for all is a great goal.
The problem I have is: 1. We can't afford it. 2. There is way to much fraud and abuse in the government system. 3. This is a political football used to scare people into voting for Democrats for the rest of their lives.
If we could afford it, get rid of the fraud and abuse and keep it away from party politics I would vote yes. Since not on all three counts, I have to vote no.
I don't like theives. I don't like lazy people. I don't like those who covet what others have. I don't like paying for others' services, who waste their own $ on BS toys, drugs, booze and other vices. I don't like indebting the future generation's just so this generation can have a freebie. I don't like liars. I don't like those who subvert the constitution.
So--I vote No.

.... Looks like our vote pretty well mirrors the public polls, pretty much all no, with a couple of yes's in there.
And no 'America' did not win, that is just a retarded statement, you know as well as anyone that, regardless of which majority, there is a huge split between sides, so either way it goes, 'america' did not win. That is just pointless sensationalism. Not to mention I never heard a word about it in 2008, probably was out there, but that is not one of the main points in the presidential debate. I have a lot more to say, but I try to keep my 'opposing' posts objectively presented...
/objective unlike most democrats, and there is no question that the 'american way' lost. America was founded on some very basic principles, including working hard and earning your keep. Still a lot more to say, but trying to keep on topic.

In 1794, when Congress appropriated $15,000 for relief of French refugees who fled from insurrection in San Domingo to Baltimore and Philadelphia, James Madison stood on the floor of the House to object
saying: “I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” — James Madison, 4 Annals of Congress 179, 1794

It is facinating that Neptune the liberal has not chimed in. Regarding the Madison quote above, here-here- hubba-hubba! Brevity is best. Maybe that is ONE of the reasons Obama is so unpopular he can say 'hello' in 20 minutes.

Seconded, I vote yes... Well... sort-of... I was all-aboard before the "forced to buy insurance" bit. But, I'm still glad it has passed.
I would like to add one comment however... America spends twice as much on healthcare per-person than any FULLY socialized country. Are our people twice as sick as they are? Or, is our current system just broken? I'm betting on the latter... That's not to say that this bill is the end-all be-all, but I believe it is a step in the right direction.
If the Government has Medicare, it should have this as well... HOWEVER, if they wanted to scrap medicare, than this should be shot down as well... There are very few things I will say are all or nothing, but this is one of them. If the government wants to provide healthcare to some, it should provide it for all. If it doesn't want to provide for all, it should provide for none. Either or works for me. At the very least, the enhanced regulation on insurance is necessary, one way or the other.

Twighlight, I worked in a law office. I been to law school, so I can speak of what I saw, both in what I saw in the courts and during interrogatories. The REASON are medical care is more expensive is BECAUSE of the mountainous layer of tort cases filed daily accross the USA. Lawyers file claims against doctors, hospital, nurses, medical aids, ambulance companies, hell even the manufacturers of the Gurney's who carry the injured to the hospital! It is an endless stream of possible big money. The amount of time it takes for the lawyers to file a medical claim is minute, compared to the possibilty of making millions of dollars. This is why they do it. It is a good and safe bet. The problem is the costs gets transfered to me, to you, to the hospital, to higher E and O insurance costs for the doctors. Other countries do not have this financial drain within their medical system.

Typical Liberal Argument Script for 2010:
Conservative: <insert legitimate gripe about Obama policy here>
Liberal: Yeah?! Well Bush <Deflect any criticism of Obama by inserting irrational rant about Bush here. Feel free to call Bush a Nazi, War Criminal, Stupid and/or a Criminal Mastermind and/or a Rove/Cheney puppet. No need to limit youself to those few, though. use your imagination. The more irrational, the better. Its best if your rant has absolutely nothing at all to do with the discussion at hand. Its okay because Bush sucked, and so therefore he's somehow relevant to ANY discussion about Obama by default. Don't forget your catch-phrases. Hope, Change, Neoconned, Big lie, Smart kids, etc...> <Oh, and don't forget to call the Conservative a racist while you're at it>
<<--- has had this argument. I won because the guy started dancing around like a buffoon while making fun of republicans. I guess he didn't know I'm an independent who believes the government should stay the hell out of everybody's life and their business.
