I have noticed lately that all the threads that end up in the trashcan have a common denominator.

Be it the people who do the things in the title or what they do.

Just wondering why we allow this. I don’t mind a good back and forth on the subject but when you get certain people involved in a thread it just automatically goes to the trash can.

They can’t keep to the subject.

They degrade all who have opposing views.

Who’s the guiltiest?

I know but just curious how many feel that some need to be banned because of this.

I'm not naming names. But their initials are glo-bal warm-ing. Seriously, I know what you're talking about. I'm sure there've been some good threads closed or thrown into the trash can that, had the back-and-forth bickering been kept to a minimum, would've continued to be good threads.

Yea I think that some people get too carried away with some stuff and they tend to get off the intended topic and start making fun of people. It's not right.

Funny thing is that these same people who make these derogatory remarks don’t follow the thread into the trash can.

That in some cases is where these people belong.

You disagree with me fine, I can accept that but do they need to become belligerent and disrespectful also?

some have never seen outside their protective bubble, some have never had the protective bubble, some think that bubble is a condem.
some are city, some are country, some are foriegn....

Some are probably bored and do it intentionally as a source of entertainment.

Simple solution the the problem is go elsewhere... like maybe the "other" forum. Trash talking the governmetn or government (PUBLIC) officials is one thing but attacking forum member for thir views, physical or economic conditions is something completely different... and un called for.

Bill, YOU KNOW you like to push people's buttons. When you do that, it's a pretty good bet that you're going to piss them off. You might find that if you stopped doing that, people would be FAR less likely to get personally insulting with you.

No name calling, ignorance, arrogance, degradation, name calling, or thread diversion was used in the creation of this post.

I think forums in a lot of ways are no different than life in the real world. ..meaning that you can encounter someone in the work place, on the street, or wherever, who is generally an argumentative or "arrogant" person... or simply in a bad mood. Of course it will show in the way that they speak towards others. I think another key factor is that many forum members have developed relationships (good or bad) due to frequenting the board for an extended period of time and becoming familiar with one another . That being the case... it is natural for some to dislike others. So these people will be a lot quicker to jump on another when maybe it's not needed. Point is, is that it's going to happen whether we like it or not. I also don't think it is fair to single out certain individuals... and label them as the bad seeds. Most of us are guilty of questionable comments from time to time, and it is always very easy to jump on the bandwagon and gang up on one person, which is not fair. ...One thing I would like to see, is for those who are involved to sort out their differences through p.m.. When things get ugly, it doesn't need to be a public spectacle. In reality, that will never happen either, because when you choose to spit in the face of someone you dislike, you want an audience. ...it's unfortunate, but it's human nature.
