hehehe that is really freakin cool too see some MAJOR stars in a nice fiero. Can't wait to see it on the big screen. Nice that it is a tee top car too I wonder if it is anyone on here that owns the car. Between those three guys that is probably another 750 pounds on the car haha peace
Here I found some info on the movie from that link. Should be a pretty cool movie and I am an Ed Harris fan in most of his movies they are really good. Mark Wahlberg is also very good so this should be a great movie hopefully. My favorite the Rock movie is called the rundown. I laughed my ass of when he was getting his ass kicked by those little south American tough bastards flying thru the trees.... That was a really good move and I also love watching Christopher Walken in about ANY movie.... hehehe peace

That movie was filmed here in Miami a few weeks ago and one of our trainers (my wife and I own a personal training studio in Miami) was in it! He has pictures with Mark, Dwayne and other actors on the set. Cool stuff!
Sadly, they didn't want a modified Fiero...

That's awesome... But what is it some incredibly low budget movie? You'd think with the money they have they would have gotten a much better looking one. Also wish it was a fastback.

I've done that a few times, but with a hard-top car: little brother and his girlfriend (actually fit side-by-side in the seat), my old college roommate and his fiance (him sitting on HER lap), and same roommate and his new roommate, both times because his truck broke down.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that a movie with the cast that they have, is anywhere NEAR a low budget flick! I think what people fail to realize, is the fact that the movie is set to take place in the 90's, and the director probably wanted the car to look like a simple Daily Driver, not some show car! Taking just one hours wages for Mark Wahlberg, they could have done anything to that car, or had any Fiero that they wanted for the film. That includes buying a dozen of the the 88 "Low mile" and "never titled" Fiero's that show up over and over again on eBay
The movie is a year away, but I get a feeling that the bodybuilders in the movie, are doing what they can to get by, not rich by any means, and that Wahlberg's character can afford. I am sure there is also a bit of comic relief that you take 3 body builders and squeeze them into a Fiero! LOL A Trailer is not yet even avail for the film, but I would be willing to bet money, that some of the Rock's lines will be making fun of Fiero when they have to get in it for the scene in the photo's. I can just hear him, as an actor going off on a Tangent about "I am not getting in that car... no...NO I'm NOT GONNA DO IT"! Then the next scene will be him riding in the passenger seat.

I have posted in several threads almost all of the movies where Fieros have appeared so how many actors do you think actually got out of the car and said "I want one" or how many actually bought one after driving it? I would say a few probably actually enjoyed driving the car. As far as the appearance of the Fiero in this movie, I think they wanted the car to look original to the 80's with the seat covers and faded paint as well as all of the damaged parts. As JohnWPB said above, the movie was based on a 1999 true story so they figured why not let the car show it's age.

Dwayne Johnson looks pretty much like I would in a T-Top. I'm 6'8" tall. He's umm.. a little bulkier though... like a lot. But whatever. Can't wait to see that movie.

Wonder how many stations they get without the antenna. Prolly didn't want it in the shot? Hmm
Yep.....they didn't want it ruining any shots. In "normal" cars (i.e. with a backseat), they remove the front headrests so there is a more clear shot at backseat passengers). You've probably never noticed that before (most people don't)......now you won't be able to watch a movie or TV show without seeing if the headrests are there!
