Havnt seen any threads like this in the search so I guess I'll start one. This shall be just a place to post IDEA's for rear tail lights. I'll start it off by submitting a request, feel free to add existing photoshops of course. Trans Am lights, requested by gtxbullet

My car is just like the one posted except I have the round Corvette lights. My tag also is the same as the one posted. My car is also a red 88GT.
In any case, it was nice of you to pick my car to use for a photoshop.

That is flat out "sexy". I'd love to do that. I have an extra set of delaminated GT len's, I may explore some "new" ideas. Also like the round lights using the GT lens except its a one way trip, if you screw it up, your *SS out.
Have been thinking of creating that look for the GT since I converted the 86 to a GT and sold mattwa those ones.
I just don't have a set of GT housings that I don't wish to modify (have 2 sets that are perfect, 1 on the 88 car and another on the shelf just in case).
Once I figured out how to do the notchback set, it was easy (mattwa's are technically version 2) - the GT should work along a similar path (build thread here: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...070315-1-061640.html ) if anyone else want to pursue this. BTW the TA lamps won't fit the GT without some major mods - just though I would mention that.

Thought I'd post up one of my favorite sets, I've yet to see them installed so I photoshop'd them onto a White '88 GT. I think these would great with 4" dual exhaust.
It'd also be cool to see these under the lenses.

The photoshops are done with proper ratios, so that members know what they're options are. There arent many oem lights that fit the notchbacks. I'll try to upload something in a bit.

Request: Notchback, and Fastback with Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4, 570-4, or other exotic paterns.
One where the lens is replaced, another one where the current area is turned into a vent like on the Lambo, and only part of it is tail lights, or even if the tail lights are above it like on the lambo.

I'll get to it once I finish my R32 compilation. Still have a couple to upload. After those I have more Supra, RX7 and a truly badass R33 rendition.
I doubt the Gallardo lights will look good, I have a close friend with a LP560 and the dimensions/curvature wouldn't work with the Fiero's rear (both notch & fastback). We compared using the actual tail lights when we were changing his motor (he blew it goofing off on a straight away, red lined)
Just a heads up, the new 2013 Gallardo was revealed yesterday. It looks alright.

JSzpotek, yea I saw it. I'm hoping it looks better in person, in pictures it just doesn't do it for me.
I'm sure the actual tail lights won't work, what I meant is a photshop so we can see if a similar design scaled to fit a Fiero would work. (think of it as building them from scratch to emulate the Lambo shape)

but its not on a fast back and that's what some people want.
If you follow my build thread on how I made those lamps for the notchback, the same principle could be used to make a similar set for the fastback. It would take a bit more work to modify the reflector part to reposition the lamps as shown, but could be done IMHO. I am just in a position to cut up the set that are on my car at the moment (or the spare NOS set I have ).
You would also have to do a bit of wiring to change the bottom outside "red" bulb to orange - I don't think the stick wiring is long enought to simply change positions with the upper inner "orange" bulb - so you would have to make the wires longer.
...actually now that I think about it, may not be too much more work - but you would still have to create a light divider to separate the orange from the red on the reflector (covered in my build thread).
The ones that I photoshoped are actually from a Japanese company names Qest. Significantly better quality, the ebay ones are made in China and are extremely over priced for what quality they are.
