Hello all. I'm here to announce the 4th annual run to Corunna. Meeting at the ballpark in Lambeth at Saturday August 14at 1.00 p.m. We''ll depart at 1.30, cruise along some nice country roads and a very nice stretch along the St. Clair river to the home of Dave E Bouy and Sue B Do in Corunna for a BBQ. All food and drink (non-alcoholic) will be provided. We have a pool so those who would like to swim are more than welcome. We would love to have as many Fiero folks as possible so come one come all. Please chime in if you plan to attend so we know how much food we need. See you all then if not before. If you're not familiar with the Ballpark in London/Lambeth here's a mapquest link http://www.mapquest.com/map...3448&geocode=ADDRESS

Dave - got your email, I don't spent much time on the forum, always busy with street rods. But Sat the 14th sounds good and it's in my schedule. SOFA so good. Oscar.

Brilliant news for me. I finally have my GT running correctly. All the bugs out of the true duals and it is running like a scared rabbit. Can't wait to show off my new stainless steel heat shields, and custom exhaust.
Well after much deliberation with Rich (PFF-TheMadCow) over evening coffee. I've been railroaded by him and and a female I associate with (lol) into attending this cruise with two stipulations for them.
1. Weather permitting (don't drive the Fiero in the rain)
2. Any excessive speeds above posted limits (within max 10kms) cause my Fiero to take the next right, and gps takes me home.
Call me a woosie if you will, but I enjoy my Fiero far to much to push her 25yr old body though the paces! So count me in (weather permitting) for an enjoyable cruise with a seatcover on the seat beside me!

PROBABLY AT around 11 am meet up time, depart approx 11;30 am to arrive at 1 ish at the ballpark...
yes, we may go over 100km/hr (or even 109!) on this stretch of the cruize down a hill...sheesh! i'm sure these cars were built to withstand that velocity & some rain drops if properly maintained & Lothar keeps her top up
maybe some folks should just trailer it in an enclosure, lol.
I maintain you can have allot of fun under the allowed speed on a road. I think because there are different horsepower engines, that we just need to let the big dogs go to the front of the pack so they can let out the horses when they have a mind, and let those who take it easy pull up the rear.
I don't think anybody wants to maintain a high speed, and while you might get some "brisk acceleration" and some G-forces on the corners with the drivers who enjoy corners, nobody wants to set any records. This is a nice leisurely cruise through picturesque farm country.
Now with regard to the rain,,,,,,, there is a front coming in the afternoon, so we might end up driving home in rain, but hey, I don't mind.
Well that would be me ....I must be getting old. lol
...although, I hate to say it, but if its raining I doubt I'll go. ....car is maintained fine ...but I hate driving in the rain. Sucks the fun right out of a nice cruise. Half the time the "weather man" doesn't have a clue though, so I'll be checking out the radar in the morning. Crossing my fingers.

see ya soon all & drive defensively.
Thanks for the input and opinion ! Guess we're all entiled to our own opinions! In that case I'm very content with my P***S size, and don't really have to prove anything to anyone! LOL Looking oh so forward to a rainy day on Saturday so I can keep my car in it's trailer where it belongs! hahaha Maybe I'll hit Canadian Tire if its raining, hear they got a sale on tacky auto stickers and accessories that can dress my Fiero up a little! lol Looks like ya might be bringin up the rear of this cruise on your own Rich, unless you become a "More Spirited" driver.

Well according to the Detroit weather forecasts (I actually find these more accurate than anything Environment Canada puts out for our area) there's a 40% chance of T-Storms later in the evening but hey that makes a 60% chance of ideal cruising conditions. See you guys tomorrow.

For the record there is only one very short piece of this route that could even remotely considered for "spirited" driving and as I said it's very short. Let's all just have some fun and enjoy. I like Fieros for many reasons but the most important is the camaraderie of the group. That's what Cruizin to Corunna is all about.

Thank you Dave and Sue for being a great host/hostess. Love the cruise by the water. Maybe next year we can all be part of the WAMBO show in Wallaceburg, then hit your place for the barbie. Oscar.
Here's some other shots from different angles.
