Well after several days of skinned up knuckles and a few choice words it finally started. Sounded like crap but it did start up. Serious exhaust leak from y-pipe and it doesn't want to stay running but, what a relief to fianlly hear it roar to life. I must admit after I got the starter issue worked out (had main ground wire in wrong spot) it started first try after priming the enging with the coil wire off. Feel like a kid at christmas!! LOL Maybe now I can get a few of these pics posted I have taken. Wish I had taken more though. Kinda got caught up in the motor swap.

So I got a chance once I got home to tweek a little more and its running much better. Smells really bad though. I'm sure its from the old gas. Is it normal for the intake to sound like its sucking air like an aircraft engine though? May also be because of the old gas too. Anyone know an additive that I can pour in the tank to help with this old gas until I can get it run out and some fresh stuff in it? Thanks

My green one has that same sound. I think its normal. i have been driving with it for 8 months with bit. My red one dosent though. But i do have the archie rockers on it so it might muffel it down a little.
