I'm up for another meet. And I don't mind going up to Tulsa either. If we aren't working OT that day.

I can do either city. My car is being shipped to Colorado for a 3.4TDC on Thursday. I hope to get it back before the end of the month, but really don't have an eta nailed down yet.

I want to ask an OKY a question.

Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge OR Talimena Scenic Route

The NTFC is gathering Ideas for another Ruckus or Fling or new event. So what do these places have to offer?

Wichita Wildlife Reufuge = speeding ticket, they don't want you hitting the buffalos or whatever.
Talimena Scenic Route, I've only been there once, it was a neat road that I was on,(don't know if its one road or a bunch) in a truck. Quite a few curves IIRC.

You OK guys want to help plan one with the NTFC guys? Put the Ruckus back to what it once was "Red River Ruckus" I think that was #3 but it's still used.

i was thinking the same thing, if they would come down a little south of OKC (e.g. Norman) a few of us
NTFC folks would make the trip.

I like this idea, if in Norman my Fiero might not be there, she is sick and needs some surgery I will have to see how she heals up. Regardless I would hop in teh Mustang and head down there to say hello.

The Sooners are out of town on the 8th & 29th, off on the 15th, and Texas Tech in town on 22nd.
just in case you/we wanted to avoid the crowds and traffic.

29th I think is far enough out to give people a chance to plan. Hopefully the weather will hold out, that is usually about the time we are due for an ice storm.

So 29th??? Norman?? Where in Norman? Is there a Hooters?

One idea is to meet up at Thunder Valley for a Sunday Test and Tune from noon to 5pm. www.okthunder.com
There is one every Sunday this month so one is on the 30th.
Noble is just south of Norman a few miles. There is a map on the website.
When I went it was $8 to spectate and $10 to race.
It's fun to go out and run your car or just watch others run and see gobs of money people have dropped on motors and mods.
We could all hang out in our own Fiero pit. (there's lots of space out there)
Of course weather permitting. You can bring in a cooler with snacks and soda's and lawn chairs or sit in the stands and drink beer from concessions if you like.

Just another idea.

Well, I'll be checking in periodically to see where and when we are meeting so I can bring my yellow baby down. Just might have to stop for gas a couple dozen times. And just to let yall know, Sundays are always better for me than Saturdays.

Btw, it was cool seeing you the other day Curl, and in the lighting and the angle I was at, I thought it was a chop at first, nearly shat my pants.

Well af2k(the places in Moore and south OKC) and bubbajuju(dragstrip) have good plans. As far as Norman they got a few good places. The 29th sounds good to me.
Bj's
JR's Barbeque - owned by some rasslin dude.
Teds Cafe Escondido
Saltgrass
and a few others.
The only problem with Dwaynes idea(for me) is me being at work on Sundays. Our OT doesn't look like it is going to stop anytime soon. I can get off easier on a Saturday than a Sunday. I have to split with the other guys and they don't like working on Sundays.

Ah dang it, I want to see your new turbo Mike told me you have running... I want to see it on the track!
Other problem with the track is who knows it could be brrrr cold in a couple of weeks and it's no fun when folks are cold.
We need a Fiero roadhouse. With really tough girls in leather. And we could brew our own rootbeer and play darts too. We need some Pontiac denim jackets with the sleeves cut off and our own roadhouse logo on the back.
Okay, I'm getting loopy now. Time for bed.

I'd hoped to be able to come up and meet/hang out with y'all but Orange's transmission decided it would have no part of it Even if I manage to get a new one put in on time there is no way I'll have any money for a drive... hopefully we'll be able to have a Ruckus up there someday and I'll make it then.

How south is that? I know I need to use Google maps. Is it south enough for our Texas friends?? If so I say we do that, unless there is a good spot in Norman. I don't know I have never been to Norman and have been to OKC once in a snowstorm after driving 8 hours to get there from Tulsa 5 of which were stuck stranded in the middle of the highway. Memories.

Our shop is 10,000 sqft. We don't have heat though, but there is plenty of parking around here. This month would probably be too soon, but I might be able to host one. Besides my car isn't back until December so...

Norman is about 17-18 miles south of OKC. The traffic flows pretty good through OKC on I-35 usually on the weekends. I only looked for stuff along the interstate to make it easy to find. Not sure what there is inside of Norman itself.
