Drag Strip that is. Mustngsbware(stephen) and I are going out to Ennis this night for test and tune. We hope to get some good runs in while the weather is still cool. We would like everyone we can out to suport or race if you would like. It starts at 6pm and goes till 11:30pm. It's $10 to get in and $15 to race.

Hmm, hmm, hmm... I really would like to see what I could get if I didn't run out of 3rd like last time. But since my car isn't really running up to par I think I'll have to wait and ask Orange what it feels like.

Bad idea. You need a lot of heat in them and even when warm they aren't the best for launching. Just use good street tires.

TTT...

Daniel, I will try to remember to bring my helmet for you.

I got race gas for both you and Poe.
If you guys would have about $12 & $18 respectively, I'd be most appreciative.

Hey! No insulting the 14 second cars

And YOU KNOW what thing...

I'm in to watch, I'm going to resist the temptation to race, and I'll have to head our early... but I'll be there.

You guys better get some video of the runs, because watching other Fieros go fast is all I have. Mine barely work so that keeps me motivated, so if nothing else do it for me. That's right, I played the pity card O yea and don't let Stephen do the filming. The last video I saw from him at the track all I saw was the dashboard and clouds flying by. Thanks guys and I look forward to hearing how it goes. Also Stephen, if you want to tow the TPI car there and run it too, that would awesome.

I don't know if any of Stephen's friends got video...

The Super Trooper award goes to Daniel... who was sooo sick, he purged a couple times before running...
And his shifter cable got hung before he ran... and only had 1st & 2nd gears. He looked real good all the way to about 60 mph...
I did not get to see him leave, but heard he managed to get it in 3rd, and got home. Daniel, I hope you get to feeling better.

I'll let Stephen give his own times.

The GXP did all right... it's not easy launching FWD... my best was a 14.30 with a 2.28 60' over 4 runs. The more the car sat in staging, the worse it got. Last 2 runs were both 14.5x... Hot motor I guess. The car is better than what I am capable of, but it's not shabby for a 3805lbs (with me in it) sport sedan.

Copy/pasted from my other Thread:

Took the car out to the track tonight to get in some runs and see what it would do. Was shooting for 11s being my last time to the track I was hitting 12.4s with 6* of KR. Ran the best of 12.0 @ 110 MPH with a 1.6 60' and ran 4 other times with all of them being 12.1s @ 110 MPH. The weather was about 55* or so and the track was hooking well for me with the MTs on the back. Should be able to dip into the 11s once I upgrade the brakes so I can stall the car up for the launch and take out a little fuel(running a little rich). Overall was a good night, several people where suprised with the car and had several comment on it thru out the night. I drove the car 2 hours to the track, made my runs and then drove it 2 hours back with no problems. I forgot my camera so I dont have any video of the runs, I am hoping someone else out there took a video of it and I can find it.
