I dont have a picture but, on my 1986 SE the decklid lock has a PONTIAC decal around the key hole. Was this from the dealer or what? All the fieros I have seen just have a regular key hole.

It looks like the cheesy ones they sell at pep-boys and other pimp your ride stores for putting around the door lock to "protect the paint"

Have you owned it since it was new and it has always been there?

That could be. I got the car in 1996 from some guy who bought it down in Pontiac, MI. I had no idea they even sold lock protectors, but I do like the look of it b/c it says PONTIAC.

it kinda looks like what they had on some late 70's F-bodies they went around the door lock keyhole.

you got any closer pictures, I could probably tell you for sure.

I've got an extra decklid with the same thing. I believe it was one of those dealer-installed items.

Ya it had to be dealer installed, a buddy of mine has a fiero that has been family owned since new, and the only thing one the decklid was the pontiac thing arounf the lock, it didn't even say fiero on the back of the deckilid either.

I remember dealerships having them back in the 80's. They also had ones that stuck on the flat front of the door handles. The trunk lock protector only said "Pontiac" but the door handle ones said either "Pontiac" or " 4 Wheel Disc". You were also able to get them at local stores like Trak and such too.
It's an "80's" thing.
