It's getting to be that time again! The seventh annual PA Tech Day (held in conjunction with the MAFOA Fall Meeting) at the Gilbert's in Oley, PA is fast approaching! The date of this year's Tech Day is October 21st - a bit later than usual due to a scheduling conflict. A Tech Session will be held and will be followed by the usual delicious pot luck lunch and afternoon road rally through the beautiful Oley Valley. We would like everyone to RSVP by October 10th and to let us know. what they would like to bring! The Tech Session will begin around 9:30 - breakfast items will be arriving at 9 and lunch/meeting is around 11:30, Road Rally at 1:30 with a cruise to follow. The meeting will involve upcoming year's elections and a discussion of club business.
This year's tech session topic maywill be replacing a sunroof gasket (TOPIC CHANGE)

Jen, if you dad wants to do body panel repair I'm sure I can dig up a few fenders and door panels to repair. Karen and I will be down for the day and I talked to Les Sandy, he might come also.

If you guys can bring stuff along that would be great! I think we'll go with that topic. Fastback/Notchback conversion would be cool too - will have to keep that in mind for next year.

I have missed just about enough Fiero fun for 1 year. Don't know for sure about the Fiero, but I will be there (nobody to get in the way this time - divorce was final last month). What 'cha need for me to bring (besides...)?
Jenn, Paul Young called the other night and said maybe another suggestion would be to put a sunroof gasket in a car. He said he has the gasket, just needs the help installing it.
Karen got called to Federal Jury Duty the Friday before the tech day, looks like I'll have to bring something premade this time. Maybe a box of muffins and stuff like I brought the last time?
At the moment the three of us will be coming, Karen( as long as she hasen't been sequestered) Paul and me.

Bruce we could use a fruit tray - would that work? Also, I just got your other e-mail - it went to my old account. I'll e-mail you soon but that is still my plan (what we discussed).
Mark - muffins etc. sound fine.

The topic is definitely going to be replacing a sunroof gasket - I've gotten more requests on that from people who are definitely attending...of course, even if you already know how you should still come to socialize, lend your opinion and do the road rallly!
Fender and facia repair can get into some time. Until the products setup and are useable for the next step, it's possible for a few hours to pass. However, in addition to the sunroof seal replacement, we can discuss the repairs to fenders and facia. I can show you the products that we found available and what has not worked for us in the past. Information could also be made available on "how to buy the proper paintbrush for painting your Fiero".

Yea, you can bring your wife! She does exist correct?? Ha!
Haha!! Of course she exists, silly!! You even talked to her the other day when you called, and as a matter of fact, if you would have come over last week like you said you would, you would have even SEEN her with your own two eyes!! Now, as it is, you've lost your chance and she won't be around next week.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. -Bruce

Ok to bring something like munchies or paper goods? I'm back to college full-time, plus working part-time (to pay for it) so I have no life, let alone time to cook or bake.
I'll need EXPLICIT directions. Remember, I'm a former recipient of the "Horses's Tail Award" @ Carlisle for Excellence In Navigation.
I'm planning on it as well. Jen, can you post an updated list of who's bringing what and what is still needed.
Also I will probably be bringing my truck so if anyone has a need for parts from the Fiero Hangar please give me a list and I will bring it along. Saves on shipping!

Jen I have some bad news for you about tech day. Corey was sent a letter from West Virginia University to come for a baseball tryout for the college team and to tour the campus at the same time. I have to chose the West Virgina option over the tech day. We were planning to come but this letter arrived on Friday. This is great news for him as well as scholarship possibilities for us, so I will not be able to attend. I thought I may be able to do both but we have to be there at 11am. I will call you mid week to discuss the 2007 fiero season maybe we can get together on another day. Hope this works for you, Robb

If I'm coming, definitely. Let me give my dad a call and make sure nothing is going on that weekend then I will give you a definite answer on whether I'm coming or not. If I am, yes I'll bring burgers.

I will order a fresh sunroof gasket from the FS this week if the topic change is official. I have one I pulled from another csr that came out clean and nice, but if you guys want to do a tech day on the subject I think a new gasket is in order. Is there any thing else in the area of needed "stuff" to complete the project. Let me know.
looks like i dont think i can make it.... last time i posted i had a running Fiero... now i have 3 that dont i would LOVE to go (and beleive me i need it!) but i doubt Betty will be done + rd ready by then

Maybe, if you are a good "wittle" boy and eat all your peas and carrots. Refresh me on which year you have? Mark Hogland has a great deal on rebuilt lights. Right Mark????

I've got an 86. You've got to remember these things dad...you are old but not that old. :P
Mark you still have that wiring harness set aside for me? If you're going to be at the picnic I can bring over the spare parts I have accumulated if you still want them.
EDIT: Jen, my dad most likely won't be able to make it, but I'll definitely be there. And I'll bring burgers.
Matt
