Rivets??

As in pop rivets?

BUY THE DAMN TOOL !! <grin>

seriously--once you have one, it will blow your mind how handy rivets are.

then buy the air riveter. then the swivel head.

trust me---you will never again look to bolt things together.
(and no I aint sharing mine ;-) <hehehehehe>

Why not just use a push in christmas tree type of fastener?

I do have both. You can pull plastic rivets with a 'metal' gun with the correct tip

BUT dont pull metal rivets with the 'plastic' gun, it will mess up the jaws.

Rivet shank O.D. is .145".

If the largest tip has too small of I.D., use a 9/32" drill to open it up.

I will be posting info and pics on Tracy's blown Olds 455 powered 84 coupe as soon as I can get to his house
and get a few more pics. He has put all of the bodywork back on, but I couldn't get any pics last weekend
due to a family illness in Tracy's family. Hopefully things will be better this weekend. Tracy did almost all
of the work on his coupe himself. It is his version of creating a real HOTWHEEL....
More info and pics to follow in a separate thread.
You can see some more pics at http://www.fierocountry.us/tracy.html
