Well of course I have more in my computer than that, but I want to give someone else a chance. By the way congrats to you and Chris for your wins at the show and your wins at the track.

Why thank you but in my class at shows I never stand a chance against Bob or Lothar. For those that don't know Bob is the guy with the little trailer and Lothar has the convertible.

I have other pics but they are repeats of ones already posted. BUT, I just want to first echo out, Thank you Pete and Becky, pete's sister and hubby, Brian Finch Pontiac for all the hard work invested to make the event successful. Now, I want to point out that I finally I had competition for my prestine 84 SE. At the show Bob from Michigan, showed up with his prestine 84 Coupe and you could swear they are twins. The judges did not have an easy time deciding, cuz it took them three visits to each car to make the final and right decision to award Bob with the honors. So congratulation Bob. So here are his car (Bob is behind his car), and mine when I won in Michigan at the Michigan Fiero Club event. I hope all agree with the decision.
"Real"? How would you define a 'fake' convertible?
Pic links in my signature, if you're interested, for comparison/contrast.
Clarification - I am told there were no production line convertibles but I am told that this convertible is the only one left of 6 special cars produced by GM. Hence the 'real'. Is my information wrong? This is one very choice car and very unique.

Regarding the "real" convertable, a dealer in Ohio I believe was commissioned by GM to have some convertable's made (with GM's blessing and approval) to sell on their showroom floor. That's the storey that was told to me by Lothar the owner of the car. Not to say yours is not real, I think yours is very well done and looks fantastic.
To I Annoy (Vince)
Glad to see your still around we thought we lost you forever. We were shocked to see Nick out at this last outing as well but at least he had a great excuse with the birth of his baby girl 2 months ago, what's your excuse. Wow that makes 5 fieros I know of that reside in Brampton (Bob, Gabe, Nick, Vince, Kevin - who I just met this weekend at the show). We could start our own club.
I do not believe the convertibles were authorized by GM. I talked to the dealership and they just sent them to a third party shop in FL. The quality of the convertible conversion would not be something that GM would have supported. (Not to say the quality isn't good, but it is no where near factory specs).
The dealership did it to sell them at $6K more than sticker.
You may be thinking of the prototypes that GM has or ASC made.

BTW, the automoda convertible conversions were being reviewed by GM and probably would have made it, if they didn't cancel the fiero. That is my understanding.

Ah, I see where you were coming from. No offense intended - it is a very sharp car.
I've studied most of the history of the various models of convertible Fiero over the years - i.e. the Holland Pontiac versions, the GM prototype(s), the Brisa, the Automoda, etc. - just wasn't sure what constituted "real' in your mind. No worries.

Beck and I would like to thank everyone who showed up to make the day what it was. Otherwise it would be just her and I along with a clean car sitting in an empty parking lot. It was great to see all of our friends along with our now new friends spending time together. We really enjoyed the day. Very soon we will have a list of the sponsors and winners.
I am hoping there are more pictures to come because I did not take any. The dealership (Brianfinch Pontiac/Buick) has already commited to next years show
****Also if we could start a new thread regarding convertables rather than turn this thread into one. Thanks.****

Thanks everyone, especially "Jackispyder", for the info on my convertible. Anything that I have said about it was told to me by others and it seems that there is definitely more to this car. If you could P.M. me, (Jackispyder (Jason), with the correct info, I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to compliment you on the fine work and exceptional care you put into this car. I knew that when I purchased it, that it was in a class of Fiero convertibles that I would be proud to show. I decided that the only way to improve this car was to add the engine (2001 3.8 S.C. w/ approximately 7000 kilometers and transmission and new exhaust system ), 17" Centerline wheels, and Bridgestone tires. I also added a new wooden steering wheel to match the existing dash trim. I will continue to make subtle improvements and keep this Fiero in pristine condition. Hopefully one day it will be parked beside all of the other fine convertibles that I have seen on this forum and I will meet the people behind these cars. Thanks to all.....Lothar
Congratulations!!! for putting on an outstanding 1st Fiero Show. I cannot say enough about Pete & Becky for their love and dedication to our cars. Thanks for bringing together many of my old and new friends and making it a day to remember. See you at Mapleview.......Lothar
