I remember when these cars debuted in 1984, they were everywhere. The Fiero appealed to all ages, all sexes and people from all walks of life and you couldn't go five minutes without seeing one drive by. These days, they're all gone. Where are they, dead? Stored? Sitting in fields? When I got my driver's license in 1987 (17 in 1987= 34 in 2004... now you all know how old I am !), I got to drive my first Fiero. I popped down to the local Pontiac dealership and got the keys for a white 88 GT with a tan leather interior and a 5 speed for a testdrive. I loved the car but sadly, being a poor student, I had to drive home in my lowly old Honda Civic.
Now I have one, albeit "just" an 86 GT. I bought it because I have always wanted one... "Hi, my name is Dave, I'm 34 and I own a Fiero".
I tried to buy a gold '88 GT in 1988, but being a lot younger and a lot poorer, they didn't want to finance it.
Life (read: 2 kids) got in the way, but I finally got my hands on an 85 SE 2 years ago, and still flip the bird at the Pontiac dealer that made me wait every time I drive by.

Reno here… older than most of you, 53, but just as much of a gear head as anyone. Fieros have challenged my thinking, got my creative juices pumped; and as a bonus, I’ve met a lot of people on Cliff Pennock’s Fiero Forum and the Fiero community in general, with a wealth knowledge, to write home to Mom about… Thank you all for your help and unsolicited support.

Hi, my name is Cenneth, I'm 28. I live in Sweden and bought a Fiero because I wanted a Ferrari but couldnt afford one. Then I fell in love in the Fiero at the driveway and now its getting a SBC350. I just love the car. Until I can afford a Ferrari that is ;-)

Okay, might as well join in...I'm Dwayne and I'm 43. I think someone was very accurate above. We are mostly young or middle aged guys. Just a few brave females among us.

My name is Mike, and I'm 47. I've had two Fieros...an 86 SE V6 5 speed that I bought for my son to drive as his first car, and my current 86 GT. I've liked Fieros since they came out, but never seriously considered one until I bought the 86 SE. These little cars grow on you...

Ben, soon to be 37 with a white 88 $400 duke coupe driven daily and a work in progress. Just spent $300 to get the wife a silver 86 (bad clutch to be replaced this weekend). We have an almost two year old who loves working with dad and considers the white one his. He has to check it out daily after dad gets home. The eighteen year old son is trying to make a deal on one for himself. We also have a 69 Mustang Grande to play with. They have become a family addiction. My twelve year old daughter knows them on sight and is ready for me and her brother to get "hers and her mom's" 86 on the road.
I am 48, and own 1 Fiero. I have too many cars, but that doesn't stop me from picking up more "too good to turn down" deals. Tim
