I'm in the process of making a sub enclsure for the footwell and i've used 2 bottles of resin total. The first bottle was normal and is now dry. The second bottle however was blue and is not. Should Bondo resin be blue??? Or do i just have to wait a little longer?

I think you have some old...very old(read: maybe bad) resin. I had some that tuned a shade of blue...figured it went bad, so I didn't use it.

Blue Hardener is the only color i have ever used for bondo?
wierd...it should be fine...just make sure that you "kneed" the bottle of hardener before you use it and that for roughly every golf ball sized bit of bondo use about an inch of the blue hardener.

i hope this helps...

Just to clarify, are we talking about [bondo] fiberglass resin, or bondo body fill?
If it's body fill and blue hardener we're talking about...Phil is right about the mix, and isn't what I thought you had.

If it is the resin, and you got the 1st one to harden, you've got the liquid hardener mix and technique down. I think the other can was opened, or exposed to air. Was is more gel-like out of the can? I thought my can was bad, because it was half used, and sat for months.

You may have to scrape it off...try to sit it out in the sun to warm it up and hopefully harden. Maybe someone with more experience knows. I never had any real trouble with fiberglass.

well it's the morning now, and it's still like half dry. Still real sticky. And to clarify, it is from a Bondo fiberglass repair kit. It is resin, not body fill. Yes, come to think of it, it was more gel-like coming out of the can. I'll try and throw it out into the sun today, see what happens.

Id scrape what I could off, wash part with thinner to get any ' soft' stuff off. I wouldnt trust it. Prob will bubble up your paint job down the road, so its not worth taking the chance to me.
